  1. Diving even deeper into the Dumpster I see.
  2. So what you are saying is that I could continue to have success with my bargain bin Windshield Fluid, but there is also a good chance that it will become a complete and utter disaster?
  3. This reminds me of the last time I needed Windshield Washer Fluid. At a department store, they were charging $13 for a gallon of it, stating that it was All-Season. I balked at that price, so instead I headed to the Dollar Store and bought two half gallons at $1 each. I saved $11 and was happy. I mean, it freezes to the windshield at times, but most of the time it gets the job done.
  4. Josh Hader has been a huge key to the Milwaukee Brewers making the playoffs in 2018 and 2019. Without him, we don't make the playoffs in either season, IMO.
  5. Lol If stats measured everything important about evaluating baseball players than MLB teams would certainly be able to hit on all their draft picks. This probably explains why I didn't get drafted despite my outstanding "WAR" in high school.
  6. Distributing Hader's "WAR" to other places in the lineup sounds nice but it is not possible during an actual MLB gameplay. The psychological effect that Hader's presence in the back of our bullpen has on opposing teams and managers cannot be replaced. Opposing teams literally get demoralized if they are trailing the Milwaukee Brewers past the 7th Inning of any given game. The hitters in the 6th and 7th are thinking "we need to make something happen now or else we are gonna lose this game." If we simply transfer Hader's "WAR" via trade to a shiny new thirdbaseman, it will not make the Milwaukee Brewers as good of a team, and not nearly as intiminating. Jeff McNeil does not strike the fear into any opponent's hearts, unless of course, maybe if clancyphile is their manager.
  7. I agree with MilwaukeeBeers.
  8. Unless we are acknowledging that we are rebuilding instead of contending trading Hader doesn’t make much sense. He’s too valuable of a weapon for a contending team.
  9. Jeff McNeill was recently (2017) unprotected in the Rule 5 draft and no team selected him. He is no future MVP. He’s a future Daniel Murphy at best. Solid player but not worthy of headlining a Hader trade.
  10. My apologies to the Trade Simulator. I overreacted to the post where it said giving up Yelich Hader and Urias was still not equal value for Dodgers prospects. I will do my best not to bad mouth or speak Ill of the Trade Simulator in the future.
  11. This "trade simulator" is a complete waste of time, IMO.
  12. The Brewers would be very foolish to accept any of these offers for Josh Hader.
  13. With so many open roster spots I just don’t get why a small market team doesn’t take a chance on a MLB ready player like Roberto Ramos. Very little risk and the payoff could be big. I mean you could send him back before Spring Training even starts or there is a small chance he becomes a Max Muncy or Jeff McNeill valuable player with tons of team control.
  14. Zack Brown being ranked as our #3 prospect this year doesn’t mean much. Most years or in most current farms he’d rank around #15 or so. I expected that he wouldn’t be selected and so did the Brewers
  15. Supposedly Yankees, Dodgers and Mets are interested in Hader... What's it going to be? Yankees RHP Deivi Garcia 3B Miguel Andujar RHP Albert Abreu or RHP Jonathan Loaisiga DODGERS SS Gavin Lux C Keibert Ruiz RHP Josiah Gray METS RHP Noah Syndergaard 1B Dom Smith or JD Davis 3B Jed Lowrie I think the Yankees offer will be too risky without a true blue chipper. Need to be blown away or else stand pat, IMO.
  16. *** ? How is that Graphic on the Screen?
  17. I don’t know the Dude is also very injury prone.
  18. I think as Brewer fans we all try to sell ourselves on a player once he is acquired. I feel like this is where I’m at with Lindblom. I’ll try to erase the crappy MLB reliever version of Lindblom out of my memory. I’ll replace it with a super hero (monster?) version of Lindblom that went to Asia and defeated Godzilla and is now returning to the States as a Brewer to conquer King Kong!
  19. Between Cole, Strasburg and Rendon, Scott Boras has gotten about a BILLION DOLLARS for his clients this week.
  20. Not a fan of this signing. I don’t get it. There is bargain bin shopping for a starter and then there is dumpster diving. I consider this the latter. If this is a bullpen only signing I could live with it. I’d expect something similar out of Lindbloom that the Dbacks received from Merrill Kelly last season. Serviceable at best. Rather give these innings to Peralta and Burnes personally.
  21. Just not high on CJ Cron. Hope they look elsewhere.
  22. Not a Kole Calhoun fan, myself.
  23. Not sure that the Brewers will be selecting a player in the Rule 5 Draft but Ramos would be my desired choice.
  24. Like everyone seems to still believe in Jimmy Nelson around these parts (including me), I think a few of these guys could prove to be real bargains. Plenty of risk all around but I actually think most players on this list are more talented then Chacin, Miley or Lyles. I’d take a chance on landing Pleasant Surprise SP 4.0 (2020 edition) rather than pay current market prices for the mid tier FA starters.
  25. Here's my current wish list of available FA starters that make sense for the Brewers 1. RHP Julio Teheran (29) 2. RHP Taijuan Walker (27) 3. RHP Aaron Sanchez (27) 4. RHP Jimmy Nelson (31) 5. RHP Michael Wacha (28) 6. LHP Alex Wood (29) 7. LHP Martin Perez (27) 8. LHP Drew Smyly (29) Hard to believe Nelson is oldest player on my list. Left off Bumgarner, Ryu and Keuchel because I think the market has priced them out of their value.
