    If someone wants to overpay for Adames or Devin I would defintely be in favor of doing it. This team is just not built to win in the playoffs. A weakening offense and no rotation is not a championship formula.

    The front office made a mistake if they believed Levonas would sign and now he doesn't. I think its crazy for a pitcher to pass up a big bonus to go to college but if he does it so be it. The strategy of picking a guy like Payne or in the past EBJ to land guys like Miz and Levonas is hit or miss. Its very strange passing up far better prospects just to pick better players later but it worked brilliantly in 2023. Unfortunately the 2024 draft pales in comparison to the 23 haul but in time hopefully Payne shows himself to be better than I expect.

    There is no reason to trade for someone like Rengifo and giving up two or three prospects of any note is insane.

    After the 23 draft the front office deserves the benefit of the doubt but this class looks extremely underwhelming especially with the outrageous first round reach.

    With Yelich possibly out for the season and the massive struggles of both Turang and Contreras I think a middle of the order rental bat is this teams biggest need.

    I hope he proves me wrong but I'll be surprised if he even makes it to AA. This looks like a complete waste of a first round pick and paying him 75% of the slot is embarrassing. With that said I will happily eat crow if he shows himself to be better than I expect him to be.

    This sure feels nothing like the 23 draft and seems quite disappointing. Very few swings for the fences and a very disappointing first round pick that the team is probably not saving the kind of money they should.
