  1. No reason whatsoever for Wiemer to be on this roster. He needs to spend the season in AAA learning completely new hitting mechanics.
  2. Leave the room to get a drink and the Brewers are done hitting.
  3. He's a great number 3 and a solid 2 but definitely not an ace. He looks like the greatest pitcher ever compared to the rest of this awful rotation.
  4. No reason why all the lefties besides Yelich have to be straight platoons.
  5. The worst part of the lack of innings from the starters is that the strength of the team which is the bullpen will most likely fall apart from overuse.
  6. Thats what we get for not acquiring even one starter that projected to be better than a 5.
  7. Very good pitcher but the cost to acquire him is going to be too expensive in terms of what I would be willing to trade. Think somewhere along the lines of Quero, Black, and Mis which is not something I would be willing to do and to be honest that might not even be enough.
  8. Hopefully Gasser ends up being a solid starting pitcher but without the swing and miss stuff his upside is most likely extremely limited.
  9. This feels more like a Doug Melvin type of team with the complete lack of good starting pitching. Makes you appreciate having a great top 3 of the rotation the last few years.
  10. Thats exactly the problem. When we had Burnes and Woodruff it was great having Peralta as the 3. Now he is the ace and every other starter we have struggles to get through 5 innings. As much as the bullpen has been our strength its going to be a struggle by midseason when they are covering 4 plus innings nearly every night.
  11. Hopefully Chourio eventually becomes the star that the team has bet on him being but as of today he is still a minor leaguer.
  12. This team seems to play a lot of bad baseball against some AAA level opponents.
  13. With or without the injuries this is more the rotation of a 90 loss team than a contender. Arnold added a decent number of bottom of the rotation starters but no one reliable at all. Its Freddy and a bunch of 5th starters.
  14. The bottom line is this is a rotation you would expect from a team rebuilding and looking for a high draft pick. Besides Freddy who is extremely inconsistent every other guy we have is basically a 5th starter with the hope that Gasser can be more. If we don't add someone legitimate to the rotation the bullpen will be fried by if not before the all star break and this team will finish below .500. Arnold really had no plan this last offseason to make this a good rotation and we are starting to really pay the price.
  15. The time to move Adames was the offseason when the dodgers showed interest. They have plenty of young pitching and we should have gotten some for Willy. Now his value is tanking and we may not even get the draft pick since he might not be offered arbitration.
  16. You don’t have Yelich and Ortiz bunting in that spot. Only reason why Yelich didn’t give away an out is because the guy couldn’t throw it anywhere near the plate.
  17. At least we can stop debating whether he is worth signing long term.
  18. Not one of those guys was projected as anything other than bottom of the rotation starters without the ability to pitch anywhere near 200 innings. This rotation is Freddy and a bunch of 5th starters.
  19. I don't see Wiemer ever hitting enough to be anything higher than a 5th outfielder and certainly don't think he should be on the roster now.
  20. This team has Peralta who is a 2/3 and everyone else in the rotation is a 5. Bauer at worst would be the second best starter on this team and he is willing to play for the minimum or very close to it. This is a great opportunity for a low payroll contender like the Brewers to get a top of the rotation starter for nothing. There were rumors that the Brewers looked into Aroldis Chapman so turning our backs on Bauer is stupid. This is a unique opportunity that we should take advantage of.
  21. Its also the usual suspects as you say that act like every move is unquestionably great.
  22. I wouldn't pay 7 million for anyone likely to have an OBP below .300 but since its a one year deal it makes little difference.
  23. With an uncertain at best rotation thats a 75 win lineup.
  24. Junis is getting paid 7 million so we are expecting a lot from him.
  25. His OBP was below .300 and thats not worth 7 million but there isn't a move that you don't praise so carry on.
