  1. Nope. I'll continue to root for the Crew. I'm just done having faith in them actually trying to win a championship. All that's been doing, is setting myself up for disappointment. Year in, year out.
  2. Then, and I'll say it again, they shouldn't keep saying their trying to actually win a championship, because they obviously aren't. We've had a deep farm system for how many years now? 3-4? Yet they continue to not make serious attempts to use even a few of our prospects, to make a meaningful attempt to get over the hump to win one.
  3. How many more years of that very thing happening is it going to take, before you finally realize it's been a very frustrating trend? To the point that it starts forming a very obvious picture? Well, to those fans that aren't in complete denial at least.
  4. Completely different sport. C'mon now. That's because NFL football is now our national sport. Baseball isn't anymore.
  5. Like I and others have said before, and will continue to say, then they need to stop lying to our fan base by claiming they're trying to bring Milwaukee a championship.
  6. Don't need a number. Simply attempting to make a meaningful move or 2 would be nice. They don't though.
  7. Most actually try and do it though, or if they don't, their fan base finally catches on to their lies, and find other teams to root for.
  8. I'm willing to bet he would've taken a shorter deal, with a similar yearly average.
  9. Most fans here know he doesn't owe us anything. All we've ever said, is then MA and the front office should stop claiming they truly want to bring a championship to Milwaukee.
  10. And we fizzle out miserably in the playoffs, almost every year. Regular season win totals don't mean jack squat, if/when we promptly get bounced from the playoffs almost every year.
  11. MLB definitely doesn't want small market teams to win a WS. If they had their way, they'd prefer small market teams not making the playoffs at all.
  12. Nobody ever said we expect MA to spend anywhere near $250M on their payroll. We've simply said when it looks we have a 1-3yr window to really do some damage in the playoffs, especially the years when winning the division looks likely, then they should spend some $$ to make a move or 2 to try and get over the hump. Especially when we have a deep farm system to make deals with.
  13. Highly doubt it.
  14. If the teams interested in him are only looking to sign him to a short contract, he may not have a choice.
  15. Sending $$ with him just isn't something I can see MA doing at all. Also, I'm not sure how moving a Platinum Glove winner off 2nd base, would be a smart thing to do. Ortiz is a SS by trade.
  16. Not sure what they would do with Hoskins then. Doubt anyone would want to pay what he's owed this year.
  17. I think when it's all said and done, he'll end up in Boston. Probably on a shorter deal. Maybe 2-3yrs tops.
  18. Yeah, that makes some sense. Everyone expreses grief differently.
  19. Give them time.
  20. I agree. Devin is a heck of a reliever, but the 1 thing that irked me, was how he would overuse his change-up in many games. When a pitcher does that, it makes them very predictable.
  21. Like several here have said many times before, we've been consistently winning division championships & making the playoffs for quite a while now, but when will that finally stop being enough to pacify our fan base? We're talking about actually doing what it takes once in a while, to actually try a win it all, instead of relying on pure luck, year in and year out.
  22. I haven't seen any statements from him.
  23. So our chances of winning a WS championship solely relies on 100% pure luck. Gee, that's just super dandy. We'll obviously be waiting a LONG time then. Sometimes teams need to try and make their own luck.
  24. Yeah, uh-huh, ok. You should look up the definition too. It definitely is a form of gaslighting.
  25. Sometimes though, it's how small market teams become how the Orioles and Tigers are now.
