    Hard to believe a 4 ERA in Mexico impressed anyone...that's generally considered to be high A level baseball, with some AA and AAA players mixed in.

    The in depth analysis is pretty much limited to bloggers. I can't say I've seen a old media guy do that, if ever, in ages. The standard "call it in" stuff that Fire Joe Morgan tears apart weekly is why the industry is dying. They blame it on other stuff, but why pay for crap when you can get good stuff for free?

    I'd think that Hardy would be okay with a move on the diamond if it came with a contract extension, but who knows. I do too. Who knows, it may end up like Braun, that he is fine with switching.

    Considering ARod had to negotiate his own deal, as Boras would not, and Kenny Rogers had to fire him because he ignored his wishes not to negotiate with teams other than the Tigers, and costing Matt Harrington a lifetime of wealth, security, and comfort; any human being that would hire him deserves whatever silliness he brings to them.

    If Hart and Hardy want to sign long-term this offseason, both probably will. I would say both are pretty likely to be offered, if they haven't been already. They may well make decisions based on that at that point.

    So, why isn't Mike on the list? Your info you have given make it seem like he's the PTBNL, and CLE does not want to announce it yet.

    I think they should offer the remaining tiks to full season ticket holders myself, or at least a good part of them. There are not that many of them, they should get rewarded.

    According to Ramblings, the MLB.com guy reported the deal was done at 3:15 ish. It was all over the internet within 15-30 minutes. Tom H posted his blog entry about 4. Let me check on the players part, my memory is good but short. UPDATE: The State Journal was first with the players.

    I told the folks that someone said Lucroy looked to be a backup in the bigs...which if he does, he will be a wonderful 3rd round pick.

    Would not be safe to have someone up who has not pitched in weeks. But, they'd have some guys get in work and have non-playoff guys finish up.
