  1. My hate for the Orioles goes back to the 70s and 80s. The series to finish the 82 season just about killed me. Murray, Palmer, Singleton, DeCinces, Lowenstein/Roenicke, and of course, Earl Weaver. I hated them. Still feel that way today, although with how pathetic they have been for most of the last decade (THREE 100-loss seasons? Really? Including a 47-115 year?), it's different now. Angelos was pretty easy to hate as well.
  2. Brewers are 10-7 for the month of June. That's a good pace. Would get you about 95 wins in a season. A week away from the halfway point, and the team keeps avoiding long losing streaks and has managed to win four series in a row since Philly. 8-4 in the last twelve. Amazing season so far. Get some good health luck, and we are going to be talking about setting up the rotation for the playoffs before we know it.
  3. I know Frelick saved the game from being tied on Tuesday, but Megill has seven saves and has given up one earned run in June. I'll take that from a guy who would have been the fourth or fifth choice at closer before the season started.
  4. Did anyone else wonder if the ball was really in Frelick's mitt? I had this sneaky feeling that he was acting. He never showed the ball.
  5. He had last night off, but started and finished the previous 8 games before that. He’s playing a lot.
  6. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/brandon-woodruff-injury-update-brewers-two-time-all-star-wont-pitch-in-2024-following-shoulder-surgery/#:~:text=Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Brandon, miss most of the year. Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff will not pitch in 2024 as he recovers from last fall's shoulder surgery. Woodruff, who required maintenance on the anterior capsule in his right shoulder, had originally been expected to miss most of the year. He recently conceded that he'll focus instead on coming back strong in 2025.
  7. Whew, that was close on Frelick’s steal
  8. And why would the Dodgers need to trade? They have an 8 game lead. Maybe if they value the one seed over everything else, but talk about a team that can afford to be patient, it has to be them. Unless $300 million doesn't go as far as it used to, and Ohtani, Freeman, Will Smith, Teoscar Hernandez, Jason Heyward, Gavin Lux, Chris Taylor, and Max Muncy (at some point). I am having a tough time worrying about the Dodgers.
  9. They are on my all-Aquatic team with Steve Lake, Mickey Rivers, Tim Salmon and John Wetteland.
  10. Well, Trout is out, so I guess Brewers will win!
  11. Contreras acting like he had some blood in his mouth. He didn’t take a shoulder or knee to the head, so I’m hoping for the best
  12. Just took two of three from one of the hottest teams in baseball.
  13. That was scorched. Nice job, Perkins!
  14. Yeah, I’d take EDLC. 22 years old, he’s Brett Favre.
  15. Ok, Willy, new pitcher. You know what to do.
  16. Then Turang says, “you thought that was nice? Watch this.”
  17. Wow, 96 at the top of the zone. That was nice by Koenig
  18. Kind of thought it was yes/no. I would love to have him.
  19. He’s pretty darn exciting. Causes havoc.
  20. Beautiful park. Nice setting. I love the downtown stadiums. Sat on the first-base side for a night game in 2018.
  21. Oh cool! I give up with hoping for positive injury news.
