    I thought the date I saw for his return was June 17. Assuming some Nashville time, I don't know if he is returning to MKE for close to another month. So much can happen in that time. I'm also about as skeptical of Mitchell's potential contributions as anyone on this forum. Edit: I see he is expected to be back with the Brewers on 17th, so I assume that means he starts his rehab before that.

    Mark is within his right to say Counsell wasn't worth it, at that dollar amount, if he even received the opportunity to match. Again, I don't think he did anything wrong, offering to make CC the highest paid manager. And no, if another team offers 2.5 times the money for a free agent player than what the Brewers offer, the Brewers will never land a free agent. Counsell's gone, he wanted to be gone. I took issue with the term "hometown discount". I called them your numbers because I used what you typed ("$16.5") and divided it by three. I wasn't suggesting anything else.

    According to a tweet that went out when counsell signed, no other manager was making more than $4.5 mil a year. By your numbers, Craig got offered $5.5 a year. I don’t think you know what a hometown discount is. I don’t think Mark A did anything wrong. I booed along with everyone last night.

    That was as satisfying a win I have attended in a long time. Watching the Cub fans hit the exit as soon as Adames' homer hit the CF concourse was delightful.

    Why not an opener every day? You get your starter pitching into the 7th, and if your opener gives up runs, you’ve got 8 innings to get them back as opposed to one or two.
