    Bogaerts just dove for a ball in the Padres game. He is leaving the game with a shoulder injury. If he were a Brewer, his shoulder would be shredded and his career would be over. We will see how it shakes out.

    It seems Brewerfan is micromanaging Murphy's use of Chourio. You said it yourself: the team committed to him for 8 to 10 years. Let's not decide Murphy has ruined Chourio in the first 46 games of his career. There are some posters who have decided that Murphy is a failure after 46 games, in the same way that some said Turang's bat would never play in the major leagues when Brice struggled last year. The tool of the angry poster, also known as the nuclear option, is very rarely what an organization uses to build a franchise. I wish Chourio was playing like Corbin Carroll or Steven Kwan did out of the gate. But the fact that he is not, is not necessarily on management.

    Rickey Henderson played a long time. No wonder he has all the stolen base records. And can we agree, that the most stolen bases in the first 44 games of a season is a stupid stat to bring up?

    There was preseason concern about regression on the historic WPAs from the past season, but that seems to be ok. I'm just amazed that we have a guy such as Vieira to point to as the worst guy in the pen, someone that gets mentioned for DFA, and he's got good stuff, gets low leverage innings. I don't shudder when he comes in the game. I think I'm spoiled that guys such as Koenig, Megill, Payamps just seemingly show up and become excellent bullpen arms.
