  1. 3TO Baby!!!
  2. Can't hit it much harder. Would have likely scored three if it got by Goldschmidt. Tough way to end that inning.
  3. LOL what? I mean, playing for the Wild Card would be the literal opposite of giving up. But that 2nd Wild Card spot is both the Reds and Cardinals only legit shot at the playoffs at that point. But what real chance do they have against the Dodgers or the Giants? Probably not much on paper. But that's the position both teams have put themselves in. In a one-game series, anything can happen.

  5. Hope for what? A Wild Card spot? A 10 game lead with 24 to play is very comfortable.
  6. That's baseball. Sometimes things don't go your say despite the matchup and all the numbers indicating they should. Remember, too, that the Cardinals have substantially more to play for, as they still have ground to make up to get into Wild Card contention. Not that the Brewers are laying down, but it shouldn't be surprising, either, that yet another junk-throwing lefty shut the offense down. Not having Adames and Garcia against a lefty is a rough deal.
  7. Rowdy has been fine I think. He's still relatively young, cheap and has some upside. His solid defense at 1B has been a pleasant surprise. He's not Anthony Rizzo. Those guys are not easy to find. I'd say replacing Garcia in right will be the bigger issue. Agreed. I don't expect Garcia to find a huge market, though, despite his strong season. It wouldn't surprise me to see him re-upped for another couple years at around $10-$12 million per season.

Those guys are not easy to find. Question is, do we go into 2022 with Rowdy as our 1B, or do we go big and sign someone else that we know is our guy? It's a tough situation really. Rowdy shows us just enough at times to think we are covered at 1B, but is he our answer? I think if you have the chance for a clear upgrade, you go for it. Then perhaps Tellez is part of a trade package for someone like Trey Mancini. IOt would need to be an established guy that is going to be a more sure bet to hit .250+ with 30 HRs, because that is probably close to what Tellez's upside is.
  9. Sure did. Watching the Reds crap all over themselves over the last week has been nice.

  11. I don't like Tyler O'Neil. He looks like the king of the bro's, and has been a thorn in the Brewers' side this year.
  12. Yep, especially when the bats aren't really doing much. Still a few innings to figure things out, but the Cardinals pen is pretty good compared to some others' they've faced lately. Not Giants good, but still solid.
  13. I get feeling pessimistic, but the sheer certainty in your "sky is falling" posts is actually kinda funny. It's hysterical the amount of chicken little, sky is falling on the board in general and the IGTs in particular. I mean, I get the emotional fragility but the doomsday cheer leading is beyond absurd. You'd think some of these people have never paid any attention to a baseball season. I had the feeling/hope that yourout was being sarcastic. As he said, it was an attempt at a reverse jinx. I hope that is the case.

  15. If your league's playoff spots were based on overall record, what induced your rage? A good portion of fantasy success is always based on luck. Sometimes you have it, sometimes you don't.
  16. He's always had the stuff to be a good MLB starter. Just needed to put the consistency together. Takes longer for some guys.
  17. Adames reagrivated his quad injury, per Counsell. I hope they shut him down for a stint and let it heal right. Urias can handle SS for a couple weeks.
  18. One of my favorite Brewers of all time, the 1992 American League Rookie of the Year!
  19. That was awesome! I don't think that Houser is as talented as Woody, Burnes or Peralta, but when he's on, he's damn near as effective.
  20. Typical Wisconsin team. Will lose a couple more and go to the Miracle Whip Bowl.
