  1. Steer is a terrible-fielding 3B. And he's hurt. Also, Mitchell is one of the team's top offensive players this season. No way they deal him for Peralta. Why are we trading from our big league club in a playoff race?
  2. BTV holds about as much legitimacy as Fangraphs ... i.e. pretty much nothing. They lost me years ago when they admitted to going in and adjusting player trade values post trade in order to make their valuation system look more accurate. Their whole schtick is a joke.
  3. I get it. He's a late bloomer. Still ... there are plenty of those types in the history of MLB, and they have not populated the MLB Pipeline Top 100. Of course, most have not worn Dodger Blue either.
  4. You're welcome! Seriously, it isn't your money, so why does it matter? $2 million isn't going to keep the Brewers from going out and making a move in the next week.
  5. Someone needs to explain to me how soon-to-be 28-year-old River Ryan STILL ranks among the top 100 prospects in all of baseball. I mean, at what age can a player no longer be labelled a "prospect"?
  6. I'm not sure why anyone even visits Fangraphs anymore. Its proven to be nonsense time and time again, especially when it comes to ANYTHING Brewer-related.
  7. No chance. Jett's value has perhaps fallen, but that would be a massive overpay IMO.
  8. Yet if it were the Yankees or Dodgers mocked to trade for Skubal, the packages would center around MLB roster fillers and 17-year-old rookie league prospects.
  9. Luis Pena is 19 years old, and is currently ranked as MLB Pipeline's #18 prospect in all of baseball. This "nothing more" and "sprinting to the phone" talk reeks of hyperbole. There simply isn't a ton that separate Made and Pena prospect-wise. I certainly hope that Matt Arnold is a little more hesitant to trade him than you seem to be.
  10. Coleman Crow, Colton Gordon and Tyson Hardin are legit rotation prospects. There are a few OKish-type prospects in the pen, but I agree that there is certainly room for a reclamation project or two there.
  11. I'd be very surprised if Wood is even available. And as alluded to above, Made isn't getting dealt for Miller.
  12. Yes, and Devries netted Miller with an extra year of control. Miller sure as heck isn't going to net Made now.
  13. That story reads like something written by someone who actually hasn't been watching Henderson and Drohan pitch. Those guys have thrown like legit #2s as of late.
  14. I don't understand how people keep saying the Brewers would need to trade Made to get one of these upper-level guys. I mean, when was the last time the consensus #1 prospect in all of baseball was actually dealt?
  15. I'd like to note the irony here, considering your liberal use of the Mark A "Cheap A$$" meme LOL. As previously noted, Colton Gordon is a pitcher they've had their eye on for quite awhile, and taking on McCullers and $2 million of his salary turned out to be a creative, relatively low-cost way to get him. Giving up Jaydn Fielder is a nothingburger.
  16. I think the basis of their model mismanagement stems from the inability to realize that spending gobs of money on your roster does not always guarantee wins.
  17. That's fully on them, then. Models can be adjusted. If anything, that is bias confirmation.
  18. Once again, Fangraphs proves either how terrible its algorithms are, or how blatantly biased it is against the Brewers. 31-29 the rest of the way, for the team with the best record in the league, against a middle-of-the-road schedule? Poppycock!
  19. Nice efficient win. It felt like the offense was squaring up much better yesterday, but had tough luck. A little lethargic today, but did enough to win with the solid pitching.
  20. Welcome to the IGT ... the place where doom and gloom rule the day.
  21. What's funny is that he, historically, when performing as the predominant 3B, has been very good. When performing as the SS, he hasn't. It's almost like he flips a switch
  22. Frelick literally just turned 26 years old. Are we really to the point of saying "he is what he is"?
  23. I know it seems like summer is going fast, but you do realize that early August is only 10 days from now, right?
