  1. FS Wisconsin needs to track down more advertisers. Getting sick of hearing about Pizza Ranch.
  2. He's made some pretty great plays this series...in fact, that was a great pick in the hole. Tough throw obviously. Two bad throws that inning from him.
  3. Ha ... considering the Villar hate around here, I don't think smart baserunning is underrated at BF.net.
  4. Wow, I thought Rosario was supposed to be a defensive stud?
  5. If its already to this point they need to just start putting guys on the DL if they anticipate a 5-6 day injury. They can't afford to be playing with a 23 man roster every day. You've got minor league depth and options like Phillips, Broxton, Nottingham, etc, use them and give your injured guys a full 10 days to heal up instead of this day to day crap. Exactly! Enough of the waiting around for these guys to get better. That's why they instituted the 10-day DL. Going with one catcher is just stupid. Doesn't make any sense to hang on to all this depth and not utilize it.
  6. Leave Chacin in to hit, then pull him? Come on Stearns, if these guys are hurt, get them on the DL! Sick of playing short!
  7. A 38-year-old knuckleballer that was actually Brewers property a few years before that. Swing and a miss!
  8. I agree he doesn't look right, but I bet Keon Broxton would pay his own way to New York to join the team if given the opportunity. He's been very hot with the bat, too. I love Cain's toughness, but get a CF up who is healthy.
  9. I'm normally a very optimistic Brewer fan, but that is absolutely pathetic.
  10. Cain was known as a patient contact hitter before we came here. I guess "Brewer" has rubbed off on him. Everybody in this lineup tries to hit 5-run homers.
  11. I know Thor is good, but this team really sucks on offense right now.
  12. Brewer schedule was out WAY before NBA playoff schedule. You'll just have to flip back and forth, until the 3rd quarter when the Bucks are down by 25. What a underachieving team
  13. I'm beginning to think that the short starts and Counsell's quick hooks are part of a strategy. They seem to be pulling starters as soon as they start running into trouble. If that really is what they are planning to do, then perhaps Hader does have more value as a shut-down pen piece. I don't know ... the pitching usage has just been odd so far this year. Personally I would love to see Hader in the rotation, but I guess I'm starting to understand more why that may not happen.
  14. Part of Bryant's decline is that Dak Prescott just isn't a very accurate (or good) QB. You are right, Bryant has never been a speedster. He's had enough speed, though, to go with his power. I would consider him a little stronger, and probably little faster version of James Jones.
  15. Starting pitching has been good for the last week until last night.
  16. He is 3 1/2 years younger than Nelson, but his body has been beat to heck too. I'd say he does have more value than Nelson, but it is marginal. He could probably be a decent possession/red zone threat, but at this point, he's more of a name than anything.
  17. The write-up for Davies is wrong. He gave up 1 run in 6 innings against the Cubs his last time out.
  18. They may have interest if he comes cheap. I think some dumb team with throw him $10-12 million/year though. I could see the Redskins being interested.
  19. If that list indicates anything, it's the volatility of depending on prospects to lead you to the promised land. It also proves that this team has been really bad at developing prospects to do just that.
  20. Another thread that I wish would disappear. Counsell isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
  21. I think you nailed it. We already have a younger, cheaper version of Ozuna in Santana, and they spent the whole offseason trying to dump him. Other than, you know, Ozuna's Gold Glove defense. Oh yes, because Gold Gloves have always been based on defensive value I mean, yeah, I get that Ozuna is a better defender. There really aren't many who are worse than Santana. But his higher cost does somewhat mitigate his defensive value in a straight up comparison to Santana, though.
  22. I think you nailed it. We already have a younger, cheaper version of Ozuna in Santana, and they spent the whole offseason trying to dump him.
  23. Packers have resigned Davon House. Solid depth signing that will take a little pressure off of needing to draft a bunch of CBs. King, House, Williams and Rollins should be solid in Pettine's defense.
  24. If there is still a top QB on the board, it would probably mean that the top defenders that the Packers are hoping fall are gone. In which case, I take that deal without hesitation. This team needs to fill a bunch of holes and shore up depth. Take as many high picks as you can get. It would also give them more ammo for a player-for-pick deal
