  1. Thought the same thing. Looked like he pulled up just before reaching the base. Almost like he had the wrong stride and had to kind of make a half-step to hit the bag. Just odd looking.
  2. How is that funny? We did it once already too... Because they played 17 innings yesterday? Because they are playing the Marlins? I would say both of those things are a little ironic and humorous.
  3. Man Hader is filthy. I can't imagine what it must be like going from watching Suter's mid-80s "heat" to Hader's tailing fastballs. He just made three solid hitters look silly.
  4. Man, Shaw is gonna love hitting behind these guys. He may drive in 120 this year.
  5. Well, so far so good on the Yelich and Cain acquisitions. Both are 100% as advertised. Brewers haven't had a couple players like that at the top of the lineup is quite some time.
  6. If he doesn't have great command, he's going to get slapped around. That's just the pitcher he is. His command was pretty rock solid most of the time last year, so I think he'll be fine. Never great, but fine.
  7. probably. I'ts probably like pretzilla buns has been signed to a AAA contract but will join the sausage race in may or something stupid I loved the Sandlot video, but I swear if this is more cutesy social media crap ... Or it could be Haudricourt just being his ornery self. Do you think we can trade Haudricourt and an undisclosed amount of cash to Tampa Bay for Marc Tompkin? Tompkin has regularly broken big news, and stays on top of things very well. Haudricourt is just kind of "there". He is better than Rosiak, though.
  8. I heard the full call, and that's exactly what happened. There was little reaction from the horrible crowd in San Diego last night as well. He also admitted that he missed it, so it isn't like he was trying to cover for anything.
  9. Wasn't going to get a ton of time with Phillips, Broxton and Wren at Colorado Springs, even though Stokes has probably earned a AAA placement. I think he'll be in AAA way before season's end, though. Wouldn't be surprised if its by June, as the OF depth chart will eventually be thinned through injury and/or trades.
  10. Fair enough. Last night's game thread got a little off kilter. Let today mark the start of Brent Suter's march toward the 2018 NL Cy Young. (or at least respectable #3-4 starter numbers)
  11. Apparently Yo signed a ML deal with the Reds https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/03/reds-sign-yovani-gallardo.html Good for him ... I hope he finds some success, as he isn't old enough where he should be done. Personally I'd rather see him in the Brewers pen than Drake.
  12. Really? Yelich Cain Santana Braun Perez Thames Phillips Broxton Wren Stokes Also Orf and Franklin in a pinch. If there is one place this organization doesn't need depth, in my opinion, it's OF.
  13. Jose Bautista ... perhaps defense is optional at Colorado Springs
  14. Actually, Chris Johnson wouldn't surprise me.
  15. You know, that is one thing that hasn't come up much with Braun's move to 1B. Not only is he closer to fans, he's also closer to the opposing team's dugout in some stadiums. I wonder if he was hearing some jaw jacking from the dugout while on defense?
  16. Sitting all alone in 1st place yet again. Hopefully this team takes up permanent residence in that spot.
  17. Wow, who would have expected an absolute classic in the second game of the year? If this is what we are going to have to come to expect after two games, I'm going to have to watch my cholesterol.
  18. This was an absolute terrific win tonight, and this thread has become about who's picking on who. That is frustrating. Fun game to watch tonight. Solid bullpen work, and the big bats came through when it counted. Knebel looked unhittable in the 9th. Great win.
  19. So much for Knebel being a regression candidate. He was on fire tonight. Closers are inconsistent. That's part of the position. He's going to be "on" much more than he won't be.
  20. Knebel looks like he's on a mission tonight. Big difference about 30 hours makes.
  21. Perhaps we have been trying to retire Braun way too early? He's looked good at 1B, and if he can stay healthy, he can still do a lot of damage.
