  1. You literally said it was time to move on 10 minutes ago. No one is going to give the Brewers anything useful for Hiura. Best you can hope for is someone else's failed prospect or an overpaid vet who is just about done.
  2. Yep, and I'd be more than happy to see him put it together and become the hitter that we all thought he'd be a few years ago. It just isn't going to happen as a Brewer.
  3. I'm not real sure how much more needs to be said. He's the ultimate AAAA player. Goes down and rakes, comes up and simply turns into a K machine. I had so much hope for him, but I've seen enough. It's time to move on.
  4. Wheels coming off for Corbin after looking dominant through two. Guess the Braves are this team's current kryptonite.
  5. That dark mode frequently mentioned by others would sure be awfully sweet
  6. Could really use Cutch's bat today against a tough lefty. Hopefully he'll be activated.
  7. Even if his ACL recovery goes perfectly, he's looking at not being able to play until November or December at the earliest. I doubt teams are knocking down doors to sign a guy who, best case, won't be ready to contribute until the stretch run.
  8. Wouldn't the Twins signing of Correa indicate that they are also in "go for it" mode though?
  9. I'm starting to get the feeling that they are holding that spot for Ethan Small or Brice Turang, should they need to call either up at a moment's notice. But why put them on the 40-man until they are absolutely needed?
  10. Right ... and also why they are still available and will come at a discounted price tag in May
  11. Wow, talk about the most random of random LH starters. Braves aren't stupid. If you gotta throw a spot-starter against the Brewers, you sure as heck better make sure he throws with his left hand.
  12. If the choice is between those two, they would have to decide which they'd like to have for 7 random regular season games and hopefully the playoff run if they are lucky, because that's all they'll be healthy for.
  13. The Brewers won 1-0, yet you read several posts on this IGT, you'd think they lost 9-0. A few of you have the habit of completely sucking the air out of the room. The Brewers are a good team. Good teams beat up on bad teams. That's how their stats and record gets padded. Come on guys, how long have you been watching baseball? That's how it works in a 162-game season. This team is going to sometimes struggle against good teams and good pitchers .... because they are good teams and good pitchers! Good pitching shuts down good hitting. Good grief!
  14. I just can't handle a guy in the lineup that strikes out at a 40% clip. Yeah, yeah, I know, strikeouts don't matter. To me they do. When he is whiffing at that sort of astronomical rate, he's basically a low-average black hole in the lineup. Considering he provides no defensive value, basically his only selling point is that he'll occasionally run into a HR. Unfortunately hitters like that are a dime a dozen. Unless Keston finds the stroke that made him a top draft pick, drastically cuts down on the Ks, and finds the all-fields complete hitter that made him look like a future franchise cornerstone in 2019, he has no future as a Milwaukee Brewer.
  15. I think it is very possible that they aren't done adding to the WR room yet. Vets like Julio Jones, Jarvis Landry (though being a slot guy he isn't a great fit) and OBJ (depending on where he is recovery-wise) make sense as veteran stopgaps as the rookies come into form. It is likely that there will be some veteran WR cuts or guys on the bubble that get dealt at the end of camp too.
  16. Who is digging up old posts? There's a HUGE difference between being concerned and already having your mind made up that he was done being a useful player. You know that.
  17. Of course it is ok to be skeptical, They are 32 games into the season. But at a 20-12 record, despite coming off a poor week, it is not unreasonable to be optimistic that we are, in fact, watching a good baseball team. As mentioned earlier, the best teams in MLB have poor stretches. Yes, even against bad teams. But given this team's track record over the last several seasons, plus how they have performed so far this season, I believe most would agree that some optimism, however guarded, is certainly in order. Is this team a World Series contender? That we don't know. Not yet at least. But are they a playoff contender? There isn't a ton of doubt there, IMO.
  18. Yelich has his .OPS up to .838. Wasn't it just a couple weeks ago that we were all told repeatedly that he is now a bad baseball player/lost cause/albatross with no hope of ever being useful again? It's almost like some of these commenters have never actually watched baseball.
  19. Dontcha know, when they play poorly, it's because they are bad. When they play well, it's because the other team is bad.
  20. Perdomo ain't gonna do the trick either. Next man up ...
  21. Obviously a very small sample, but Mejia might not be much help.
