  1. Not a good start for Mr. Mejia. Stuff looks pretty hittable, when he managed to get it over the plate. Reds AAAA lineup was having its way with him.
  2. Short answer - yes. Everything is going to streaming, and YouTube is one of the big players. If they want to continue doing MLB games, they'll have them.
  3. That's true. Looking at his game logs, he appeared to be pretty solid as a reliever in a very small sample last year. It looks like he only pitched 8 innings out of the pen total.
  4. His stuff seems solid from what I saw in Spring Training. Hard to completely look past his train wreck numbers with Cleveland last year, though.
  5. He was a 22-year-old in his first ever professional experience after being drafted a week earlier. Don't you think cutting the guy a bit of slack might be the appropriate avenue? Sheesh.
  6. Relief pitchers are, by and large, very volatile. Williams is not immune to that volatility. He will be fine in the long run if the Brewers stick by him. I think we have been a bit spoiled having the best reliever in MLB in Josh Hader. But even Hader has had a few rough stretches in his career.
  7. But as a throw-in, not as a major component of the deal. Who would have thought a couple years ago that we'd be at this point with Keston Hiura? What a terrible mix of both a system and player failure.
  8. Gotta right the ship today. Good pitcher to do it against.
  9. Sheesh, I first saw this and thought the Brewers signed him again. This is why it's ok to start a new thread.
  10. This team has 5 terrific starting pitchers. At what point do they stop trying to shoehorn a 6th into the rotation, and just let the 5 they have shove? Ashby ain't ready for this yet.
  11. I'm here for the crazy year that Tyler Davis is about to put up. I'll say 55 catches for 600 yards and 8 TDs LOL
  12. LOL plus 4 inches and about 65 pounds. Burnitz managed to pack a lot of pop into what wasn't a very big frame.
  13. I'm glad you are doing this. Although sometimes its a ton of fun to go back and read some of the terrible cold takes, such as the evolution of the Trent Grisham/Zach Davies for Luis Urias/Eric Lauer trade thread. I don't know if there has ever been a more bipolar thread. People went from excitement to thinking Streams was taken to the cleaners, then back to excitement. A great lesson in not immediately judging trades. Sorry if that is derailing the thread. I'm still excited about the launch of the Bally's app. I haven't been able to watch near as many live games as I've wanted to this year due to inconsistency issues with the somewhat illegal reddit streams I've been using.
  14. Why would a pitcher throw anything other than a high fastball to Hiura at this point? He can't touch anything that isn't a mistake.
  15. Super-sub Jace Peterson is definitely preferable to platoon starter Jace Peterson.
  16. Not saying it was the right call, but that was likely Counsell's thinking.
  17. Bases loaded with two down. This is his last hitter regardless.
  18. Houser isn't himself today. He's pitching just poorly enough to give me some cause for concern that this one isn't necessarily over.
  19. The way I look at it, this Reds team was perfectly mediocre with Castellanos last year. That leads me to believe that had this obviously good Brewers team signed Castellanos, they would be in line for at least 140 wins this year ...
  20. Dare I say Christian Yelich is getting pretty hot. Decent series against the Cubs, and scolding the ball against the Reds this week.
