Tariq Carpenter. A guy who looks like he was built in a lab to excel on special teams.
-
Baylor CB Kalon Barnes and his blazing 4.23 40 are still sitting out there as we approach the 7th round. Gives me Sam Shields vibes. Might be worth a flyer here.
-
Of all the CBs in this draft, he looked to me the best bet to be a Packer. Big and can absolutely fly. Must be red flags somewhere.
-
No idea who they are going to take with their final 4 picks, but it's practically guaranteed that they will be twitched up super athletes.
-
Coming up on the pick. I am going to predict McCollum or Barno again. They wouldn't take a third WR, would they?
-
Probably a slot guy. Depends how much they like Amari's future. Can't see them carrying 3 slots on the roster.
-
5 picks away from their second 4th rounder. Any guesses? CB? S? O-line? Edge? I still like CB McCollum's and Edge Barno's athletic traits.
-
Long arms too. Not a good blocker, which they typically value. He definitely fits the size profile for a perimeter WR in this offense.
-
Doubs it is. They apparently loved him in the pre-draft process.
-
Run on TEs right before the Packers pick. Hmmm I'm liking Zyon McCollum or Justyn Ross here. Or Barno and his crazy athleticism.
-
If they want a developmental edge with crazy physical traits, he's the man.
-
It's funny how some teams have trends that they target for so long that you can pretty much predict them. Every pick the Ravens have made has made me think "sounds like a Ravens pick"
-
He's a little tall/lanky for what they typically look for in a tackle, but they do love their speed guys in that zone scheme. I haven't really looked at him too much ... but maybe. He does check the athleticism boxes.
-
Tackle Kellen Diesch from Arizona State put up one of the fastest 40 times of any lineman at the combine. I wonder how he graded out athletically overall?
-
Of these guys, I could very easily see Ross, Doubs, Bellinger, Mitchell, Tom, Barno, McCollum and Anderson being prime targets. All fit the size/speed/athleticism type the Packers love.
-
Athletic size/speed guys I potentially see the Packers being interested in today: WR Justyn Ross - Clemson WR Romeo Doubs - Nevada WR Erik Ezukanma - Texas Tech WR Kevin Austin Jr. - Notre Dame TE Daniel Bellinger - San Diego St. TE Charlie Kolar - Iowa State TE Jake Ferguson - Wisconsin T Max Mitchell - Lousiana T Nick Zakelj - Fordham G Darrian Kinnard - Kentucky G Zach Tom - Wake Forest C/G - Alec Lindstrom - Boston College DE Eyioma Uwazurike - Iowa State DE Perrion Winfrey - Oklahoma DE John Ridgeway - Arkansas Edge - Kingsley Enagbare - South Carolina Edge - Michael Clemons - Texas A&M Edge - Amere Barno - Virginia Tech CB - Zyon McCollum - Sam Houston CB - Jalyn Armour-Davis - Alabama S - Tysen Anderson - Toledo S - Dane Belton - Iowa RB - Zamir White - Georgia

Significantly less now -
Very good draft so far. Two sure-fire Day 1 starters in Wyatt and Walker. I don't think Watson will start right off the bat, but he'll play a ton. Rhyan could very well start at guard as well, especially if they plan to eventually move Jenkins to RT.
-
He's gone until the offense scuffles again.
-
I saw the same thing. 31-game starter at LT for UCLA, though, which isn't a slouch of a program. Should at least be versatile.
-
Don't know if he can stick at tackle, but he could be a hell of a guard if he doesn't.
-
CB/S Zyon McCollum would check a lot of boxes for the Packers too. Another athletic freak.
-
If they go receiver, Justyn Ross is very much their type. David Bell would be fun too. Maybe Doubs.
-
Faalele really doesn't seem like a Packers-type O-lineman. Huge and not overly athletic. Kellen Diesch or Matt Waletzko could be good fits schematically. Maybe Max Mitchell. Sean Rhyan perhaps too.
-
Well, he ended up going 6, so ....
