  1. II didn't want Bush but have to wonder now if Packers did
  2. I don't think the Pack will take Sweat, ESPN just trashed him, Mort said coach told him "don't yell at him"
  3. I would like to see them trade up for one of the top tier defenders, that's where you find the hall of famer's. Of course that's where you blow everything and end up with a bust as well. It doesn't seem like they they are looking that way though and since all signs point to QB's sliding past us I am prepared for some disappointment but hoping for Hockensen or Sweat to get to #12.
  4. Going offense at #12 and then taking Simmons at #30 makes a lot sense, I like the idea of trying to hit a HR with that extra first rounder even if we have to wait a year. Not much talk in the mocks of the Packers trading up, Allen or Oliver should be there at #5 and those guys are on a tier above what the Packers will likely have available at 12. I voted Taylor, I think there will be a run on defenders above us and Hockenson will be gone as well.
  5. Yes it seems more than likely they are going to Madison, too many connections at UW and coming as a package and talking 2 unexpected scholarships for guys who won't play next year takes them out of the mix for a lot of programs. What a big blow to Marquette, Wojo continues to underachieve considering his recruits and taking this hit to his best team has to be the end.
  6. Where is Houser's ML service time at? I know he pitched a bit before his Tommy John and was up and down last year, I guess it likely doesn't really matter but if he were inserted into the rotation soon and excelled it might. They got a break with his added option I am sure they will make sure it counts.
  7. It's amazing how him winning another one all of the sudden makes talk of catching Jack seem realistic again. It certainly wasn't like he was a long shot this weekend, when he is healthy he is still Tiger Woods and has been contending on the back nine on Sunday 3 straight majors now. Yesterday was a lot of fun, 4 guys in the last 2 groups hitting it in the water on 12, Molinari who seemed so unflappable chokes... It was amazing how quickly things were changing over about 3 holes then all of the sudden Woods had the lead outright and you just knew it was over.
  8. That is likely the biggest sports story of the year and it is only April. Count me as one who thought he was finished a couple of years ago.
  9. I always hope for QB's drafted ahead of us but that hasn't always worked out and may not this year. The Cards could move Rosen before the draft taking out one team and Miami would be smart to take their chances and wait and see who falls. Giants reportedly don't like Haskins. Still some teams that need QB's up there but I could see only 2 going before us. It does seem like Oliver will be gone now, Sweat may be the D guy who drops who will be tough to pass on.
  10. Aguilar .154 now with a couple of catchers interference errors making it better
  11. These guys sure are frustrating but to be fair it's Miller park and the Cards and Cubs can hit
  12. [quote name="topper09er" Fear not' date=' I saw they are allowing challenges on pass interference non-calls. Should make things even more painful to suffer through for 4 hours[/quote] Yeah that's going to be a blast
  13. Exactly. Bruce Pearl can complain all he wants, but you can't preach to your players to play all 40 minutes and then expect the refs to to officiate the first 39:55 and just let them play the final 5 seconds. Well the NFL thinks it's OK to not officiate on hail mary's or late in playoff games.
  14. I will watch the replay later but always hate when a game is decided by a late foul and free throws. But have to call it if its a foul
  15. Yelich swung and missed at 3 strikes, seems to be the only guy not locked on to Hamels tonight
  16. Watching Cubs feed online, "Make it stop" after Cain homer. Love it
  17. Brewer pitchers lead the NL in K's with 91. The gap between them and the #2 team(Mets with 74) is the same as the gap between #2 and #15.
  18. Pressure has to be building on the Cubs to stop the bleeding, golden opportunity to kick them while they are down.
  19. I sort of dropped out of JS coverage of the Packers once McGinn left. I don't like Silverstein, he doesn't seem to have any quality insight of his own. Some of the new guys are OK but I rarely read the chats and daily articles like I used too. I guess part of that is I stopped taking the Packers so seriously after the loss to the Seahawks in the NFCC but I just don't like their coverage as much anymore and can pick up most of the details on forums anyway.
