I have ordered a couple of "world famous" pizzas on Goldbelly recently just to see if it was worth it. First, I got Lou Malnattis from Chicago as they sort of push that on their website. About 40 bucks a piece but probably worth 15. I don't really like Chicago style, too much sauce, so sort of blew it there. Crust was great but not enough cheeze, too much bland sauce and sausage wasn't so great. Then I did more research and found Di Fara was very highly rated in NY so tried that. Got the Neopolitan and these were much better pies, I think those were like $45 each, came with fresh basil is separate container and parmesan. I wouldn't order that again though, maybe if they were $25-30 shipped.
I don't know if I will try any others, it was fun researching and splurging on Pizza from around the country but in the end I have plenty of good pizza options around me and while these others may be better at their restaurants just not so great out of my own oven. I might try something else though, all those deserts from famous bakeries may be the way to go.
