  1. Diggs seems like a godsend considering the current state of our CB's. If they think he is not washed up they can restructure that 15.5 million he is due next year, considering what FA CB's got last year he could be a pretty good value if he wants to stay with his buddy Parsons. I have no idea if he is any good anymore but I do know Nixon and Valentine are not. I expect he will be starting in wildcard round, they need to do something different.
  2. Too many varieties taking up shelf space in grocery stores. Can I just get regular tortilla chips? Not bite size, not hint of lime, not lightly salted, not scoops, not shovels. The answer is apparently no because everyone else likes normal tortilla chips too and they are all gone. Had same issue finding original Triscuits.
  3. They have to take advantage of the week off that they "earned". I don't want Love, Jacobs or Watson to see the field. Hope that Philly and Bears get beat up in surprise dog fights against rivals. If we are going to be a 7 this is about as good as it could work out. I don't want Philly though...
  4. If some teams do view him as a starter I think he gets 2 years so if he does prove it they are not looking at a big multiyear deal right away, Colts were already talking about extending Jones before he got hurt, they may have dodged a bullet. Jones and Darnold were at different points of their career than Willis is when they got 1 year deals.
  5. It is tough to predict since he is entering FA without ever having been a regular starter. But part of that is being behind a franchise QB in GB the last 2 seasons, I would be pretty surprised if there are not at least 2-3 teams who would want to bring him in to at least compete for the starting position. It wasn't much of a gamble for the Jets to take a flyer on Fields at 2/40 and they still have him around to compete with a potential high pick in 26. Maybe you are right and Saturday night didn't move the needle that much. That he is a high end backup is the narrative pushed by Silverstein and JS recently. But to my amateur eyes he looks like he has a pretty similar skillset to Caleb Williams. Whether or not he can stay on the field with his style of play would be the big question mark for me about Maiik's future as a starter.
  6. He is a pretty unusual QB to be hitting the FA market. Top 100 pick who was a raw talent but never showed much in limited play for Titans. Traded to GB where he had some success last year as a backup and is a franchise known for developing QB's. Now has some late season prime time games right before FA to put him front and center yet has never been a regular starter. His talent really jumps out at you, it's not really like the Matt Flynn situation at all. He is only 26, if you are QB needy team and are not in position to get the first couple of QB's in draft he may be best option and doesn't cost picks. The bidding may go high.
  7. I suspect he may have priced himself out of being a placeholder for one of the guys picked at the top of the draft. Miami, Pittsburgh, Minnesota all would make sense even if they draft someone or have a guy like McCarthy already. Hopefully his market is robust enough to land us a 3rd round comp pick.
  8. Willis was nothing short of spectacular last night. I was having so much fun watching him play that the defensive collapse wasn't even bothering me. Love is our guy and Willis will move on but I am starting to wonder just how much he is going to get in FA. Salary cap aside if you are the Vikings do you not throw 2/50 at him and let JJ try to beat him out? He is everything people hoped Fields would be and Fields got 2/40 last offseason.
  9. Yes, with Lamar likely out get a win and see how things shake out on Sunday. I think the Viking were a bad matchup for Lions more than the Lions laying down so still have hope they step up and beat the Bears next week. After 2 tough losses the Packers really need to get some mojo back as well before the playoffs.
  10. That Detroit's playoff chances are on life support (although Team Choke is very capable of giving them an opening) is right there with the Chiefs as most stunning regular season disappointment. Every week I expect them to win but they keep losing, often as favorites. The Campbell Dynasty seems to be winding down just a quickly as Jim Caldwell's. I am not sure what their season percentage is but failing on 4th down has cost them at least a couple games, probably just trying too often now when teams have adjusted to what they do on offense. On another note, I am happy to see Rodgers likely to get one more shot in playoffs. I think he has said this is probably his last season and playing in meaningful games until the end is a good way to finish.
  11. It's going to be tough to get to sleep for a while, at least I don't have to work tomorrow. So many what ifs in that last few minutes.
  12. I said before the game this was a crossroads game for more than this season, blow it all up.
  13. I am not watching another NFL game or highlight until next Saturday, I usually don't tune out like this until a playoff loss.
  14. I don't know, getting one win seems like a big lift after this debacle.
  15. It's over, just like Seattle playoff game, I don't think we make the playoffs anymore
  16. I am just sick, don't even want to watch anymore
  17. I asked that a couple of weeks ago, last I remember was week 2 at game I was at right before half.
  18. I think you have that backwards
  19. If the Packers win this one he made himself a lot of money.
  20. Yeah, kicked it just right. Shoot..
  21. Me too, but this has been a weird game. Probably come down to FG at the buzzer.
  22. Funny that John Kuhn said pregame radio that weather would not be a factor. Maybe not windy 2 hours before kickoff but how hard is it to check the forecast?
  23. It would probably mean 3 points for Packers if you don't convert and the Bears get the ball right back anyway, I can see both sides of that one.
  24. Yeah, but not from there with the backup QB. Need some halftime adjustments to take advantage of what Willis brings. First drive in 2nd half for Bears will be big, stop them and this game becomes a rock fight.
