    Sauce Gardner traded for 2 first round picks to Colts. Obviously out of our price range in more ways that one but notable other teams loading up.

    The HC in the NFL probably has the biggest influence on the game of a coach in any major sport. MLF continues to fail in these decisions and yeah accepting the blame doesn’t make it ok.

    I am always negative once things go bad during a game but I was like here we go when Williams fumbled on first drive. It never once felt like a game we would win after that. Pathetic performance..

    So, they for some reason traded a 4th and 5th rounder to trade up one spot for the 5th QB in draft, let 2 apparently legit starting QB's walk in FA, and said thanks but no thanks to another legit starter and future HOFer. All because they are sure JJ is the guy. I hope it works out for them. I feel bad for their fans.

    JJ McCarthy gets his second shot and has to go into Detroit where they will have to score a lot. It's pretty close to must win for them and it will be tough. It's sink or swim now for JJ, I think I can see now why they anguished about a Rodgers decision for a few days.

    Rams trade for CB Roger McCreary and don't give up much, just 5th and 6th pick swaps. It feels like the Packers have to do something, Stephon Gilmore still out there but guessing he will only play if paid a few million and he may be near washed up anyway.     I was never really worried the Steelers would come back once we went up 2 scores, first time I have had that confidence in the D since Wash game. Totally agree Watson's return is huge for this offense, never dreamed he would be back this early and look that good. Please stay healthy.

    Yes, we are fairly healthy but continue to look like at talented yet middling team. We throw deep on first down it doesn’t work the drive is dead. I am just starting to expect every special teams down to go bad.

    It does seem odd they wouldn't give Valentine more snaps with Hobbs getting constantly beat, probably a combination of Valentine getting beat too and Hobbs being the high paid guy. Melton has yet to play a snap on defense unless he did Sunday. I think I saw PFF said Brinson graded out poorly this week.

    I think the storyline is more Love vs Rodgers than a Rodgers revenge game. I am sure he will be plenty motivated to beat us but that was all 3 offseasons ago and it's not like we released him like the Jets did. Rodgers can get the ball out quick which seems to be the way to beat our defense but he also has always had a tendency to hold it too long and he isn't as quick to escape as he was when still a Packer. Packers are 3.5 point favorites, after failing to cover 4 games in a row you would think the betters would catch on but Vegas sure loves the Packers this season. Detroit on a bye so this is our chance to get a full half game lead in division with 10 to go. Hoping for Wyatt and Watson this week but that's probably not going to happen.

    I think this one was different, the announcers beat it to death but we trailed most of the game, never got out to double digit lead like the others and even trailed by double digits briefly. Yep, plenty not to like, but the big game by Parsons sort of revives my hopes that we finally have the star on defense to take over a game.

    This game felt like a loss most of the way through and when I saw the kicker run out on 4th and 2 I figured that was it. Scoring a TD on that drive seemed like our last chance to steal it so I completely agree it was right call, too bad MLF needed 2 shots at the decision to get it right. It seems like we get a win or 2 like this early every season, had to sweat out Jags and Texans last year. We are banged up and even the bad teams still trying this time of year, I think Zona was supposed to be good this year too and may just have bad luck to come in 2-4. If we won one we shouldn't have that's just karma since we gagged one in Cleveland.

    That is the story of this game, what a disappointment this defense is turning out to be. Money and picks thrown at it for years they still suck.

    I sort of thought they would put it together and those were just road meltdowns. It’s a long season but we aren’t very good right now.

    I am starting to think we aren’t nearly as good as I thought we were after Washington game. Jump offsides on 3rd and 23? Not a very smart or well coached team.
