  1. Switch hitting Travis Shaw. Numbers eerily similar to Shaw, certainly would improve the line-up.
  2. Not an upgrade? 2017- 38 hr .270 .355 .529 .883 131 2018- 25 hr .243 .350 .458 .808 124 This year even better .313 .439 .1021 176 If we’re gonna ask for salary relief, they going to want bigger prospect package. They won’t want Thames and his salary. Smoak > Aguilar & diplan. Look at his stats for his career. He had one outlier season in 2017 and that’s it. Aguilar was much more productive than Smoak last season and we are trying to dump him for a guy who has one good season to his name? AND giving up a prospect to get him? While also adding roughly $8 million in payroll? This trade would make no sense in any way. Some might say last year was Aguilars outlier. Diplan a decent prospect so maybe they throw in 4-5 mil

  4. 49 pitches Thinking 50 pitches an outing probably all year. This guy gonna rocket his way up. With his stuff and command, hes got to be on the brewers radar for call-up later this year if needed.
  5. Rasmussen 49 pitches 34 strikes 2.2 ip 2 h 1 r 1 bb 4 ks Man among boys, not long for this league.
  6. Time will tell, but I think the front office believes in our starting staff more than most here, and they believe moving forward, With Nelson’s imminent return, Anderson showing the stuff of 2017, and the probable improvement of a young gun or two, that they don’t need another depth starting pitcher.
  7. I was feeling pretty good ... but these numbers are discouraging. I was a big proponent of the idea that moving from Johnson to Hook wouldn't be much of a difference, but so far appearances are quite the opposite. Of course, maybe the Brewers just managed to catch lightning in a bottle last year, and things are evening out now. And thankfully its still early. Maybe if it was just the Brewers sucking, but the Reds also catching lightning in a bottle this year? I'm starting to think it is more than coincidence. I’ll take the contrarian view here. Coaches are overrated. To give this much credit to Derrick Johnson is ridiculous in my opinion. Last year’s success with pitching staff had as much or more to do with our analytics department and front office brain power in game planning than pitching coach. The numbers will start to even out moving forward. I have faith and trust in David Stearns and his ability to hire the right man for the job.
  8. Assuming he pitches tonight, be interesting how many innings they let him pitch. So far they are doing a Taylor Williams with him, no more than 3-4 innings.
  9. It’s early, but perdomo yet to give up a hit. 9.1 ip 0 h 7 bb 15 ks Walks need cut down, but geesh, I guess it doesn’t matter quite as much if he’s that hard to hit.
  10. Another nice outing 1 ip 0 h 1 bb 2 ks Yet to give up a run on the year, it’s early, but if he keeps this up he’ll force the brewers hand at some point.
  11. It’s still a part of his net worth, whether he sells or not. His teams value to me is not the issue, because it has no bearing on the yearly payroll. And I believe he’s going to bump up the payroll enough to sign kimbrel and add what we need at the deadline, because he is a good owner.
  12. He’s not far from that now, maybe 2-3 weeks. Don’t worry bout jimmy, when he’s back, he’s going to dominate more than not. Devastating breaking stuff, that we’ve all seen with our own eyes in this tread, will assure that of happening.
  13. Two different sports, two entirely different CBAs & economic structures. The top NBA team salary is 153 million & the bottom is 87 million. The top MLB team salary is 213 & the bottom is 62 million. Also, The Bucks owners are also billionaires, I believe Mark A is only a hundred millionaire. He’s close to billionaire now with the team worth xtra 144 million just last year alone.
  14. Everything is out of whack. The perfect storm of inexperience in the starting rotation facing the best offenses in baseball coupled with devastating injuries to knebel jeffress Wahl facing some of the best pitching in baseball, with no $ to spend to replace the injured pitchers. The good news is i think Attanasio is going to step up and allow stearns to sign kimbrel. I also think Anderson will help stabilize the rotation. Woodruff will improve and by mid season we’ll be wondering why we ever doubted him in the first place. Nelson will dominate more than not, because he really does have devastating breaking pitches. Stearns will add what we need at the deadline and this team will be a juggernaut again come October.
  15. To lump Barnes with Petricka shows your lack of.......
  16. I know its easy to take the "Well, it's not my money" philosophy, but the money this team has available to make outside acquisitions is still limited. They need to develop their own talent. I'd love to see them win a World Series in the next 2-3 years, but I'd also like to see a team that is a contender for the next decade, too. The question is limited by what? Not wanting to spend profits? Going into the red? It's all about how much do they have to spend and still be healthy. You cannot tell me one more piece and they are in financial strain. I don't buy it. On the other try being 8 or 9 out come August. That's money you will never get back due to empty seats. Your eyes aren't lying. This staff is brutal. Your statement makes too much sense. Stop it!

Mark's ability to make money is a higher priority than winning it all. As long as the drunks keep filling the stands, they don't really care. I mean, a World Series win would be nice, but not at the risk of the bottom line That’s a sacrilegious thing to say on this site. Be careful how you proceed.
  18. Then most fans haven't been paying enough attention (no real surprise). Most projections had us around a 50/50 shot to make the playoffs this season in a stacked NL. If you flip a coin, I call heads & it comes up tails, is that a major failure? Sorry but most of those same projections had us at less than that last 2 yrs.
  19. It’s his head. Command goes ga ga when he pitches in anything resembling high leverage. He’s good in mop up role. Counsell not fooled. But the pens short right now, so he back to mop up.
  20. Home run reliant team like I’ve never seen before. Watching cards broadcast they put up a stat, crew highest % of runs by hr before this game. Think it over 60%. Now well over.
  21. Little over 50 pitches and they take Burnes out?
