  1. What about swinging a trade for Matt Chapman with the idea of re-trading him this offseason. We would have a big upgrade and there likely arent going to be much in the way of 3B available this offseason. If we gave up say 3 prospects we would likely be able to re-coup them and have Made take over 3B next year. Offensively he has been average, but there should be some park factor improvement. He is currently at 2.9 WAR which is huge without hitting a ton. At 33, he has 4/100 left on his deal after the year. With a weak 3B class he would be in demand to sell over the offseason.

  3. On pace for 100 wins. Lots of good stuff but lots of places were small tweeks or consistency could make this team great. Thoughts? I think I will grade the offense B+, starters A-, bullpen B, defense B, coaching B+
  4. Here are the top 20 bats in our system. The only one that isn't having a great year would be Jett and maybe Cooper, Wilken is probably the only guy to fall out of the group. I think the numbers are from yesteday but I used a couple sources. Made 281/355/441 7hr (24 xbh) 23 sb, 33bb/46k Pena (26 gm) 318/431/432 1hr (6xbh) 18 sb, 17bb/20k Jett 223/334/381 9hr (22xbh) 17sb. 44bb/74 k Cooper 241/349/386 6hr (16xbh) 17sb 34bb/37 k Lara 326/436/457 7hr (19xbh) 20sb, 51bb/44k Fischer 291/437/686 24hr(37xbh)7 sb, 52bb/97 k Josh A 340/458/556 9hr (25xbh) 11 sb, 44bb/47k Payne 288/390/592 15hr (27xbh) 14 sb, 30bb/66 k Dinges 271/398/492. 10hr (19xbh) 2 sb, 35bb/47k Quero. 270/355/447. 9hr(22xbh) 2sb, 30bb/56 k Adams (36games) .256/395/636 13hr(19xbh)5 sb, 18bb/28k Ebel 244/408/376 5hr(21xbh) 22 sb, 65bb/72 k Burke 259/338/536 18hr (35xbh) 16sb, 28 bb/68k Bitonti 272/398/502 12 hr (24 xbh)15sb, 44bb/89 k Frias (37 gm) 417/494/640 5hr(19xbh) 16sb, 18/24 Ragsdale 327/447/528 7hr (27 xbh) 24sb, 44/64 Frontada (17games) 298/474/579 4hr(8xbh) 11 sb, 17/11 O'Rae 314/431/414. 2hr(15xbh) 36sb, 42/45 Antunez 288/388/545. 8hr(21xbh) 10 sb, 17/61 Fenelon. 270/425/516 6hr(17xbh) 19sb, 31/58 There are also plenty (maybe 10) of others having plus seasons that you could easily swap out Fenelon or Antunez for. I think if you just took those position players and forgot any pitching prospect that might still be one of the top 3 or 4 systems in the bigs. Almost everyone has speed, power, and plate disapline. Add in mostly solid to potential plus defense and it is prettt amazing.
  5. Gasser starts tomorrow, I would just piggy back Henderson with him next time through. Maybe 5 Gasser, 4 Henderson that way we save the pen in the middle of this stretch. Then the next time switch them and transfer Hendedson to starting and Gasser to the pen. You could also give him more time and do the same with Drohan.
  6. 7 innings for Letson, 2 earned, 8k/2 bb. He has really turned the corner. Dub was solid for the T-rats. Jacob Morrison had a nice 2 innings in what I believe was his first appearance back from injury. He hopefully can get a couple more in and be ready for a promotion.
  7. Pretty impressive, especially with 5/5 sb, and 5 bb/6 k. What until the power comes in down the road.
  8. For sure, AA for Ragsdale, A+ Lameda/Ibarguen, A Fenelon, ACL Lista
  9. Fenelon and Antunez with bombs and multi-hit games in rookie ball. Both are coming on well or at least showing the skills that could make them breakoit guys down the road. If they could ever cut down on strikeouts both have big potential.
  10. Payne with #14, Adams with #13 (10 in AAA). Definitely some power bats in the system. We have a ton of guys who will likely hit 25 dongs.
  11. 6 man rotation Misi, Harrison, Woodruff, Sproat, Gasser, Drohan. If Henderson comes back through him in for Drohan or Gasser and maybe you can do a bullpen day somewhere. We should be fine, they may needed to shuffle pitchers between AAA and the bigs a little more if the pen gets overused.
  12. Super surprised KPJ didnt test the waters, I would have thought he could have got a mid-level exception. I would guess this mean Herro is even more likely to go. We can always bundle Harris and Prince with Herro or Turner to open up roster space. It would be nice to get another big back for Herro and Turner. Get back Dieng cheap and cut Kuz for all i care. Trade Herro and Prince to Memphis for Santi Aldama and a protected 1st. Memphis got Boozer and Stewart which will reduce Aldama's role. Herro fits well there if they do or dont trade Ja. Aladama would be an interesring big with Ware. Turner and Harris to Toronto for Poetl, Grady Dick, and a protected 1st. Poetl doesn't fit that roster, Turner does. Poetl has a bad contract but it is less per year so maybe easier to trade down the line when a contender gets big needy. We get the shooting of Dick and a future pick. 1/2 Rollins, Burries, KPJ, Jac, Green 3)Jaquez, Dick 4) Aldama, Ament, Bogoljub 5)Ware, Poeltl, Sims Depth and upside is good. No real top end players but there are 4 or 5 guys who could potentially be 20 per scorers.
  13. Dorchies through 6, 1 run, 4 hits, 1 walk, 3 ks and only 68 pitches. So far so good. Ragsdale has 2 hits bringing his average up to .322, he probably deserves a promotion. There are a couple decent Wilson option to replace him.
  14. Was there an official distance on the Bitonti nuke or the when from 2 nights ago Fischer hit on top of the building behind the stadium? Both had to be 450 plus those where 2 of the furthest balls hit I have seen.
  15. We need to get out of that league, I know contracts are until 2030 but man it is so counterproductive to have 2 or 3 rainouts a week.
  16. For me i like the hitter in the 1st. Then take a lower ranked HS prospect that wont be over slot that we like alot (Knoth, Ebel, Cairone). Then a quality college arms or two. Then draft a HS player who has fallen with some of the money we've saved. From like 5-10 go all cheap college players. As much HS talent 11-20 that we might be able to sign.
  17. Braylon Owen's is turning into the 2025 college pitchers find of the draft. 5 innings 8ks 2 hits 1 bb today, his stats on the year are looking solid. I wouldnt be to surprised if a promotion is close.
  18. 16 bb for Wilson again today. I get that pitching isn't the same in A ball but that team walks more than any team I have every seen. They have to average like 7 or 8 per game (guessing).
  19. Lara now 5 for 5 today, what a way to break out of the mini slump after signing his contract.
  20. I dont think it would be crazy if he hot say 10 more HR though the end of July for him to get to Nashville. I think the issue is that he wont be ready defensively to play 3B and with Yeli at DH with Bauers and Vaughn at 1B. That being said if he hits 40 HR in the minors it will be tough not to give him a look in the bigs the last week or two of the season.
  21. After watching these last 2 starts it is not to hard to dream on championship aspirations and want to go hard after a big bat. Sproat has shown all the signs, beyond great start. Awesome job by the staff getting him out after the 6th and not risking losing the confidence this start should have. Misi, Harrison, Woody, Sproat, Drohan, Gasser, Henderson has to be the best or at least deepest rotation if we can stay healthy.
  22. I love Burries, it kind of hints at a Herro trade to me. Rollins, Burries, Jac, and Green at 1/2 is good. Add in Herro and a couple of those guys wont play much. After watching a little highlights the last 15 minutes or so, I feel better about Ament. He is aggressive getting to the rim and has a smooth looking shot. The draft guys said he could still grow a bit. All that is a little reminiscent of a young Giannis, aggressive, strong character (hopefully work ethic), and physical prowess. We have time to let him develop and Jenkins seems like a good guy to do that.
  23. I have routed for Burries at 10 however with Rollins, Jac, maybe KPJ that changes a bit. I think a lot rides on if we plan on keeping Turner and/or Herro. If we plan on trading them I would go with high upside players like Lopez, Steinbach, Philon, Burries maybe Ament (not my favorite). If the team plans to keep them I would target guys that help now like Yaxel, Mara, or Carr. I wouldn't mind trading 10 to OKC for like 12 and 17 maybe throw in some players to save them $. Caruso/Dort 12 and 17 for AJ Green and 10 would be OK with me.
  24. Brooklyn seems to be giving it a go after getting Randle. I think they could be an interesting spot for Herro. Herro and Gary Harris for Danny Wolf, #28, and a future 1st The Nets have salary to absorb Herro. We get 3 young assets and salary cap help to sign someone like Dieng or a different younger upside free agent. Also holding a future Nets 1st round pick is alway a good idea. We could possibly add Turner into that with maybe Terrence Mann if it means getting another draft pick. For Brooklyn #6 (pg), Herro, MPJ, Randle, Turner sounds like a competitive team. However that team only works for a year or two and by no means is a contender. Owning 2029 and later picks would be a good idea.
  25. I am not flaking on him, the high end ceiling is there. I am just looking at the question "Which prospect would you be willing to part with". If we have Pratt at SS, Made 3B, Turang 2B with Pena, Jett, Fischer, Ebel, O'Rae and other in the IF he is kind of blocked until 29 or so. He has top 20 prospect value so we would get on of the top bats or arms on the market for him. Trading a guy like Dinges makes sense but we only likely get a middle reliever for him which is meh. Trading Pena would get us a needle mover. I like my Pena, Sal, O'Rae, Gasser, 2 non Hardin/Letson pitcher proposal for Buxton and Joe Ryan. I would only trade Pena for a star.
