  1. Story will cost the farm. Though it would be a great couple of months, it would cripple our future. No thanks.
  2. It's time to cut our losses on this guy as far as being on the 26 man roster. I have no problem with him pitching in AAA, but he has no place on the big team. Admit it was a mistake and move on.
  3. Garcia back to Appleton again? This guy is just never going to figure things out is he?
  4. Hopefully he accepts it, knowing he will probably be back at some point due to injury.
  5. I don't think anyone hated him as a person, or even a player. I think a lot of people hated the way he was used. I think a lot of people hated that Counsell seemed to have to find ways to get him in the line-up no matter what.
  6. I have Peralta on a few fantasy teams. If I start him, he will get shelled. If I sit him, he'll go 6 innings, 2 hits 1 run, 9 K's. I'll take one for the team and bench him today.
  7. On Brats: ketchup mustard raw onions What is really good is spicy mustards, but yellow is fine.
  8. I see this comment, or one similiar quite often. Not trying to be a jerk about it, but can you list the players that the larger market teams have taken from us once the team control was gone? I'm talking about players that it really hurt us to lose... Prince Fielder, who else? (that one turned out to be a blessing in disguise) sAbAtHiA probably Not sure Sabathia counts, he wasn't a guy from our farm that played out his contract and we lost him. I get it though, we were never going to be able to resign CC, so basically he was taken from us by a large market team.
  9. Nice work! Weight loss takes commitment, congrats!
  10. I never like going full MLB rankings when you have a DH in one league and not in the other. Not that it changes too much but it is nice to have that perspective. True, but even when looking at NL only stats, still pretty poor.
  11. If we did call him, and he agreed to come back, how long would it be before he could even suit up? Unless he is hitting on a regular basis, I'd think it would be 3 weeks minimum to be back in hitting shape.
  12. An AL team could get him as a rental and alternate him from 3B to DH. I think you guys are a little off on their value.
  13. How long does he stay in Appleton? I say a month, then he is on his way to Biloxi.
  14. Both would be 2-3 month rentals with very high salaries, though, as they are free agents after this year. You may be overestimating how much of a prospect haul those guys would bring back. I think you would be underestimating the prospect haul. This is a division rival we are talking about. Also, like I stated above, likely that anything we could offer, another team would match or beat. If that was the case, the Cubs would ship them out to a team not named the Milwaukee Brewers since we are in the same division. We would have to severely overpay to get them to make that deal with us.
  15. I can only imagine what the Cubs would ask us for Bryant, or Rizzo for that matter. It would be insanely ridiculous I'm sure. Not to mention, anything we could offer realistically, there are probably a bunch of teams willing to beat it. I can't see ever making a trade with the Cubs or Cardinals that involves marquee players. Imagine being the Cubs brass and having to watch Bryant kick your ass on a regular basis. Fan base would revolt. Oh wait, I forgot, there is no rivalry with the Cubs.
  16. It can't be denied. Our offense is offensive.
  17. Would Arcia playing 3B really be helping us? At all? It's so bad we are now second guessing dumping a no offense player that could help this offense? So sad.
  18. This line should never get a loss, even a bad offense can overcome it, this offense has become putrid. Woodruff - 2 hits, 1 earned run, 2 walks, 11 strike outs. This is disgusting.
  19. Taylor needs to have a starting spot. Start him and Cain every day, let the others battle it out for the 3rd outfield spot. Cain will need off days, plenty of starts to go around, but Taylor has earned a regular spot. If he cools and sucks, re-evaluate, but he has done all that can be expected of him, if he hasn't earned a spot yet, something is wrong.
