  1. Monday 3/28: Back into another stretch of ST games. Just over a week and we're in regular season GT's.
  2. A pretty incredible overall performance given the quantity of injuries and unavailable(s). The weird thing is, that type of Output is what you can see in the overall talent pool of this Squad. BUT, they so rarely put it all together. We can only hope it's a sign of things to come.
  3. Indeed. AND, in fairness, Pulisic has to finish that first half chance. And, well, that 2nd half attempt by (insert big striker's name here) has to at least go on target. What the heck was that shank? LOL.
  4. Indeed he is, yes. Definitely a lottery pick in this regard - as you note, he has shown flashes. If we recall, through OTA's and the early part of Training Camp he was lauded for the vast improvements he had made and how he had really excelled during the off-season programs. Then, as we know and see all too often, he got injured; went to the PS; and had fairly limited reps all season in spot performances. Hopefully, he can build on last season.
  5. That Sheets-ism still rings as awkwardly phrased as when it was first spoken. A true wordsmith. Nice thoughts in here and well written. Thanks for sharing.
  6. (1) Joey Weimer - ✨ Super Hero ✨ (The rest of this list is reserved for mere mortals...) (2) A Ashby - LHP (3) E Small - LHP (4) S Frelick - OF (5) Antoine Kelly - LHP (6) F Zamora - IF (7) Garrett Mitchell - OF (8) B Turang - SS (9) Felix Valerio - 2B (10) Abner Uribe - RHP (11) H Perez - OF (12) J Quero - C (13) T Black - 2B (14) F Zamora - SS (15) K Howell - Utility (16) Joe Gray Jr. - OF (17) M Feliciano - C (18) Jackson Chourio - OF (19) Z Warren - Utility (20) Eduardo Garcia - SS (21) Russ Smith - LHP (22) Hendry Mendez - OF (23) V Castaneda - RHP (24) Jheremy Vargas - SS (25) Darrien Miller - C/Utility (26) Weston Wilson - Utility (27) Max Lazar - RHP (28) Justin Topa - RHP (29) Lucas Erceg - RHP (30) Ernesto Martinez - 1B/DH **** Self-admittedly, I have a very challenging time finding separation or parsing out 15-30 and beyond. I find a lot of unknowns and ?'s in my thinking. But, this is my current 'best effort'.
  7. Some highlights from Devin yesterday. He is working his cutter into the mix and results are trending. First vid is a straight Cutter highlight. The following is a nice Mix of pitches from yesterday. I am salivating at the possibility of tossing in an effective cutter with his Change.
  8. I would add, in an extremely small sample he has graded out very well in PFF: So, last season, he showed some things. I, for one, am always weirdly excited about these 'under the radar' moves. Apparently, the always divisive gossip King (of Old, I don't know anymore as I haven't followed Arrigo's stuff in yearssss), Joe Arrigo, knows him personally and his son trained with him. A take from a subjective angle: Looks like it could be a fun signing that may bring some much needed attitude to the ST's unit. I am sure we would welcome that in spades given what we witnessed during our season's demise last year.
  9. Apparently, Brousseau left the game in the early innings with an undiagnosed illness. Hope he's alright and gets well soon.
  10. Abso-lute-ly crushing right now. 6 rbi's on the early ST circuit. 2 ding dongs.
  11. True. Tho, in this season's case it appears to be more Pettine and Mike Smith going after guys they are familiar with and enjoy coaching?
  12. Let's. Go. Peacocks. That is All.
  13. (NOT and Onion headline. I swear. Good god, I hope the Browns utterly self-destruct. Please, hear my plea Football Gods.)
  14. YES!!! Thank You. Going to now commence watching every dang one. Seriously: Thank You. Hadn't visited BPD this week. You made my day. Holy Leg Kick Felix Valerio. That's pronounced. Antoine Kelly definitely looks as tho he might have some filth to toss from that there mound. Excited to see how he progresses. My word, Uribe. That was some dirty dirty stuff.
  15. Penn State Pro Day today. Gute and team in attendance: I didn't realize Jahan Dotson was so small. I really didn't . For some reason, I thought he was bigger. Regardless, apparently he looked very smooth in drills: One of my favorite Safeties in this draft also showcasing his physique. Man, I LOVE Jaquan Brisker. Built like a LB, moves like a CB. You want to replace Henry Black? Here's our guy: Brandon Smith (PSU ILB) was also in attendance. He looks the part of an NFL LB. He just does. Lots to like there. Apparently he rested on his 4.52 Combine 40. With a 3 cone under 7 seconds, a 10'8" Broad, and a 37.5" vert this kid is plenty plenty athletic to man the middle in the NFL. At 6'3" 244 there's plenty to understand why many in the scouting community have him as a clear Day 2 pick. For a full-scale write-up, visit PFN here: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/penn-state-pro-day-2022-jaquan-brisker-jahan-dotson-shine-in-front-of-decision-makers-for-cowboys-49ers-packers-more/ Edit to Add: I don't know why I failed to mention Ebiketie but, it should go without saying: The Packers were definitely watching his work. He would be a prime 2nd rd Edge target. Their Pro Day coverage is fantastic, btw. Their draft coverage, in general, is really top notch.
  16. I find the best response to literally any draft is: "Welp, that's over. I guess we'll see in about 3 years."
  17. This would be an incredible scenario. Of the names mentioned, I would gather to say - at this point - only Willis is a sure fire 1st round pick. We shall see.
  18. Thursday March 24th: The Crew took on the Arizona Diamondback Rattlesnakes and, well, Mr. Woodruff took a cue from Burnsey and Burgers and gave up a ripe 4 spot in 3 innings. Don't take my word for it, let's listen to the gentle Southern drawl from our Starting Ace: He may have struggled on the mound today...but, man, when he talks I feel better. Maybe that's just me and my fondness for my years in the Deep South. Highlights from the game included 3 straight scoreless from Hader, Cousins, and Gott including 7 K's amongst the 3 relievers. Hader has now pitched 2 innings and struck out all 6 batters. We can't say the same for Suter who surrendered 4 hits and 2 earned runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. However, when the Raptor goes on camera to give us this: Who really cares how he pitched? It's Spring Training and baseball is back! Singleton and Dahl each with solo knocks. Brewers fall 6-3 and now sport a stout 3-3 overall record. Edit to Add: I'm in prime Spring Training form as well. Toss me in the Bullpen. I completely overlooked last year's Bullpen, um, darling, Hoby Milner's turn in the rotation. He came on strong with 3k's...while giving up a 4 spot. Brewers finally actually fall 10-3. LOL. Here's Couns discussing some baseball things post-game:
  19. It's a nice way to give Spring Training recaps, eh? A great feature of this software. Easy read. Quick. Painless. A lil bit of interview and post-game analysis. I don't know why I keep doing it but it's become my current daily routine. Naturally, today, they played an early One and I was off-Farm.
  20. Oh, I remember. It was truly truly turrible. BUT, hope Springs eternal. The crocuses, tulips, and daffodils are emerging. And, so too, can Spring Training optimism. #KestonForMVP
  21. Amen on your Berhalter sentiments. A very uninspired HC, sadly. I wasn't very excited about the hire to begin with but was willing to give it a chance. Sadly, he's met the low expectations I originally had. The US really really needs some innovation in its USMNT and, for whatever reason, they've failed to commit to that. They have more athleticism than they've every had and yet I see the same issues in their style of play I was seeing back in the 1990's early 2000's. Better team, yes. Great goalkeeping: still a yes. BUT, they are so wildly inconsistent and still don't seem to have an identity which I find utterly baffling.
  22. Not to rain on your parade as I think this is a worthy idea: That says: If you want him, you'll have to trade for Him...yah?
  23. We don't have a 'General NBA' thread so I'm posting this here. Heat lose handily at Home to a Warriors squad down Steph, Klay, and Draymond. You just hate to see this testy representation of 'Heat Culture'. ?
  24. You Do?!? I absolutely do not. LOL. Not only are they historically awful playing at Azteca but they are also fairly injured at present. I hope you're right. I truly do.
