  1. It definitely should have been Holiday. He is one of the most under-recognized players in the NBA. I am glad for Khris as he has now entered the yearly ASG consideration after several years of snubs and lack of recognition. BUT, there is no denying: Jrue has just flat out been the better and more integral player for the Bucks this season.
  2. This thread is epic for the doldrums of the Lockout Off-Season. Tip of the cap, fine Sir.
  3. Certainly an interesting angle from NE side of things. Naturally, I guess that would depend on how BB felt about his text being leaked. Did Flores consult with him to let him know? Does BB even care? What a wild way to end an NFL season. Sheesh.
  4. If anything, at this point, I'm just grateful (and this entirely my own selfish reason) the Flores/Miami/NY Giants/NFL scandal is front and center so I don't have to hear continued speculation ad nauseum on the future of Aaron Rodgers. One offseason was more than enough for my bag of bones. At least, with Flores, the controversy is an actually meaningful topic that deserves scrutiny and open discourse. I fully expect the NFL, Ross, and Elway to vehemently deny these claims and defamations of character. This will drag out the entire off-season. And, apparently, Flores is still a Final 3 candidate in Houston. Would be quite something to see the Texans hire Flores amidst this madness.
  5. It's hard to take an Organization seriously when they schedule a soccer game in February in Minnesota...outdoors. I can guarantee you nobody wanted to play in that weather. Getting smashed with a soccer ball any temperature below 40 degrees F is utterly awful. It hurts like hell. Your skin stings for minutes afterward. Kicking the ball hurts. It all just sucks. This isn't the Packers in Lambeau. This is soccer players. Yes, the US won the game and had an obvious potential advantage playing a tropical team but, man...not a fan of the location choice at all - for all the players involved. Anyhow, I agree with the sentiment above: the US was supposed to take a Big Step. I haven't seen it at all under Berhalter - a coach I personally find uninspiring and not that creative. I am happy for Canada. They have the best Striker in CONCACAF by a good stretch in my eyes. They play great counterattacking ball. The US Team and the style of play Berhalter currently implements doesn't excite me all that much.
  6. I gotta say this tidbit from Rob’s ESPN press release on Drayton was, well, gross (?): “Drayton becomes the eighth straight Packers special teams coordinator to be pushed out. Six were fired and two were forced into retirement“
  7. Go Bengals. That is all. Seeing McPherson kick gives me hope for a future pasture when our kicker and our kick game isn't a giant trash heap. How fun is it watching Mr. Automatic? His teammates call him 'Shooter'.
  8. I am SO happy for Bengals fans. That Team is SO easy to root for. I am a Fan.
  9. I wonder what it feels like to have a trustworthy kicking game. Bengals made the right call, as well, and called up their Returner specifically for THIS game. Packers wouldn't know what a single part of this feels like. Makes me grumpy. LOL.
  10. LaFleur seems like the type of HC who would embrace his hire, the man that he has repeatedly touted in Mo Drayton, and give him a 2nd chance at success. He did it with Mennenga originally. I will be entirely unsurprised if Mo Drayton returns. And, man, that would be beyond baffling.
  11. Okey dokey. Fair enough. I will simply agree to disagree. Given the current state of the Bucks roster, I’m glad he’s on the Team.
  12. This is the exact take on Grayson I just don't understand. He made some boneheaded stupid decisions as a college kid. He tripped some guys in the flow of play and was rightfully called out for it. The One game suspension was for a hard foul that in any other era is just that: a hard foul. BUT, now the Grayson Allen brigade is coming out of all types of woodwork to claim they know he's a dirty player. Which is wild, again to ME, as he literally has been extremely and I mean extremely low on any type of noticeable hard foul/flagrant/Technical foul trend in the NBA. Like non-existent. My question is to reactions like this is: How do you '...know exactly who Grayson Allen is and what he's about...'? I find it entirely perplexing. This is a claim that tends to say you've been buddies with him since grade school or know his family or played against him for yearssss. It's just, well, strange. Also, as a Bucks fan, given what I've seen from DDV since his return: I absolutely want nothing to do with moving Grayson Allen. He's exactly what the Starting Unit needs. A shooter, a decent defender, an unselfish player. If anything, i'd like to see Grayson get more opportunities. This is obviously just my opinion. Means nothing in the grand scheme of things. But, I remain amazed at the reputation that follows Grayson because he played at Duke (a Team and Program I really do NOT like with a Head Coach I find extremely over-rated) and because of some utterly stupid emotional maneuvers as a college player. The only retort I hear about his NBA games was a stupid sequence of plays in his rookie League Summer League. I just don't get it. And, I guess, I'm going to continue to not get it.
  13. Interesting hire. I think Klentak was criticized unjustly, honestly, given the Mandate handed down in their organization and in that particular Market accelerated and nullified an actual Rebuild timeline. He's still a young guy. I like it if strictly from the perspective of getting a well-respected baseball mind into the Mix.
  14. Let's. Go. Bengals. Ride or Die. Gimme that Natty Nasty.
  15. Ladies and Gentlemen, that was a Finish. Wow. That is high caliber offenses showing UP. Amazing stuff.
  16. What a finish. The Divisional Round has absolutely delivered. Amazing stuff. I personally took solace in this closing minute. As a Packers fan, I absolutely know they have zero timeouts remaining in that situation. Plus, even if for some reason they manage to get into fg position...there is absolutely zero way their fg kick unit gets off a clean kick. Feels refreshing.
  17. I just saw McPherson's stats today for Cincy. I watched last night's game. This kid...he is an assassin. No missed FG on the road the entire season? 11 of 13 (!!!) from 50 plus on the season. Hit a 54 yd fg in regulation yesterday. Wins it on a dagger 52 yd fg? This kid is amazing. Everything I've always wanted in GB.
  18. I found myself today realizing I am 100% rooting for Cincy. I did not foresee this development.
  19. To be fair. It’s a bit easier to punch back when it’s not zero and snowing And when the opposing team makes a very questionable blitz call when the only thing preventing overtime is not giving up a deep ball. Hmmmmm...I recall a questionable blitz call made by one San Francisco D Coordinator Demeco Ryans. I recall Alan Lazard coming wide open on a Crosser. I recall EQSB coming wide open to the Post Fade route. I also recall, our QB colossally missing the play. Both teams made questionable blitz calls. Only one team paid for it.
  20. To be fair. It’s a bit easier to punch back when it’s not zero and snowing True. True. BUT, the Rams didn't get punched once. They were punched multiple times...and by their own teammates on several occasions. A true testament to resilience and belief and getting. It. Done. The Packers? They fumbled one time and literally caved for 3 quarters. At Home. Under favorable conditions to win.
  21. That game. I have no words for the flurry I just witnessed. That was amazing.
  22. Sure would be nice to have a Pro Bowl kicker who didn't have the yips from 47 on a clear day in Tampa. Oh wait.
  23. I can not believe this. This is too much. LOL. TOO MUCH. What in the colossal heck?!?
  24. Oh man. This game is insane. LOL.
  25. So, wait...Gay hits a 47 yd fg short? In Tampa? Short? What in the hyelllll is going on in this post-season. Does Brady have Voo-Doo dolls?
