  1. Bucks waive Giorgios and sign Wes Mathews from the scrap heap. He looked absolutely toasted last season but has familiarity with the Bucks organization from his season 2 years ago. Given recent history, this might just mean they are about to amputate DDV's foot.
  2. Reallllly like the JC Mejia stats. Let's keep it rolling!
  3. Giannis is just getting a rest night off - much much deserved. Boogie isn't going Back-to-Backs with his injury history until he plays his way into actual game shape. This was planned.
  4. BroLo goes under the knife. Tis what I feared w the Boogie signing. Here’s hoping Boogie stays healthy and ramps up and continues to fit in absolutely seamlessly. Big loss losing BroLo like this. Booooo.
  5. Those of you pining to trade Kolten, or swap Kolten, or jettison Kolten… You’re all Wong. Each and every one of you is dead Wong. You might be trying to pull off some Night Moves or Turn the Page to Seager, but it would be the Wong idea to mess with Urias in his current flex utility role. (These opinions are overstated for maximum ‘play on words’ impact)
  6. There are reasons to not like this trade. There are reasons to like the trade. Brewers did what they thought was best for the Organization. JBJ was a disaster. I like both prospects. Curious to see how it plays out. Hope it means more moves in the pipeline.
  7. Tuned in to see Boogie's debut. He did not disappoint. The man has high Basketball IQ. Passes like a savvy PG vet out there. 7/4/1 in 15 minutes of +9 ball? I'm all aboard. Here's hoping he stays healthy. It's crazy the Bucks have the best basketball player on the planet. It really is. Giannis was out there hitting Hakeem-esque fadeaways like they were lay-ups. The refs were ungodly bad. Worse than usual. They were reffing Giannis like he was an 18 yo from the Greek 2nd League. Hornets were unconscious from deep. A very fun young team (a team that should try to swap out Gordon Hayward to a ring chaser for some form of assets - their youth movement is legit and fun as hell). Regardless: My main takeaway is, if he stays healthy, Boogie is one hell of a NG'd signing off the street.
  8. I made a quinoa based crust once that was pretty good. Probably works better for cheese bread/sticks but it was a pretty good thin crust for a homemade pie. Yeah, I can't do most of the grains. Sadly. I used to eat quinoa here and there. I found it extremely satisfying when I pre-fried it in a cast-iron. They pop like lil popcorn nuggets. Then, when cooked, they retain a bit of that popped flavor. Sublime. I learned the technique while in Peru. A lot of the Quechua people do that.
  9. If you all have Natural Grocers (formerly 'Vitamin Cottage' - not sure if this is a Mountain West and West Coast chain), have her try the 'Against the Grain' pizzas. They are Vermont based so they have good dairy...Oh shoot...no dairy? Good lawwwwwd. Yeah, my wife eats 'Daiya'. That stuff is essentially melted plastic. Good grief. I really REALLY feel sorry for Vegans or peeps who can't eat dairy. That would be the death of me.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if both are back on minor league deals.
  11. As are Boogie and Bledsoe, and Bled apparently had nothing but great things to say about Milwaukee. Yup. That Cousins presser was reallly refreshing. Humble pie has treated him extremely well. Was great to hear Bled had such high opinions of Milwaukee and the organization. It bodes quite well. And it is just night and day from the Herb Kohl years.
  12. I am a pizza addict. Out here in the PNW, I have at various times been mildly addicted to Hot Lips pizza (w the local Whole Wheat crusts) the Way Out Inn in Troutdale, Oregon (also w local wheat). Nowadays, after a bout of Salmonella I find I am struggling w the Glooooooten so have been eating ‘Against the Grain’ pepperoni pizza. Surprisingly good GF pizza whole crust is primarily cheese-based. I am actually so desperate for the ‘real thing’, I am growing a Landrace of Hard Winter Wheat this season to accumulate wheat seeds to grow out further and grind my own flour. LOL. As I said: pizza addict. I already built my own clay pizza oven this Fall. Destiny awaits! Edit to Add: It is my own personal contention that I don’t have celiacs or gluten intolerance but rather a reaction to the herbicide treatments used in the industrial wheat field drying process. They do the same thing w peas etc. I shall find out in due time if this holds true.
  13. The only bump on the path to acquiring a John Wall is George Hill is currently a much better fit and is playing quite well for this version of the Bucks. This being said, the reason I'd want Wall is to take SOME of Hill's minutes. We all know George can't handle that as a consistent workload. And, more than likely, he'll come down with some form of calf or strange oblique injury that will relegate him to the Doctor's Office for weeks. Wall would be great insurance, good depth...but as others note above: He's probably looking for more substantial PT. IF, that's the case? He'll end up in LA so they can gladly push the Bledshow to the bench.
  14. I was going to go the Oedious route and say we got Eteolcles and Polynices I like the direction this headed! Well done, lads.
  15. For the more 'Mainstream' adoptees amongst us: I highly recommend the 'Donut' app and 'Fold'. Very easy DeFi adoption in Donut (I use it as a random depository Savings Account. Minimum 4% returns. Up to 10% for more aggressive allocation - this is DeFi so there is always risk the more percentages you seek and the less you know in the Dev Team) and extremely easy and friendly Bitcoin (satoshi) accumulations via online and in-store purchases using the Fold Debit/Credit card. An appropriate 2021 version of the 'Cash Back Rewards' or 'Airline Miles' programs. I use both. Both have very good customer service - which is always noteworthy for me in Crypto. Additionally, I have friends currently using the BitcoinIRA.com offering. They love it. They earn a set Interest rate with their Bitcoin hodlings and they also experience the Gains in BTC on top. This is a fairly conservative option but good for those wanting to move part of their IRA allocations into a different asset. Apparently, their customer support has really been a plus. Again, always noted. For DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging), at a set time and at a set allocation amount: Swanbitcoin.com has received very positive reviews amongst people I know. As for myself, I am currently dabbling in the Osmosis Lab with a fraction of my Atoms stash. I love the Cosmos Ecosystem. I know Devs on different teams and this is a Group very into meaningful stuff and ease and community governance models. I have, to date, experienced nothing but positive things within the greater Cosmos Network. The Osmosis Lab is their version of an AMM and their Liquidity Pool and Keplr to Ledger wallet synch is quite easeful to date. Not for a newbie, per se, but all in all a fairly simple process. This isn't like setting up a Master Node synch in 2018. FFS, I have war stories. LOL. Anyhow, hope the cryptos are flowing bountifully for all of you.
  16. Definitely getting ‘Rex Brothers, PI’ vibes. Robert Forster plays the role to perfection. That’s all I got.
  17. True words right here. Wisdom sits in the Turbo Dome.
  18. Something that craps all over the field?
  19. Boogie is a really nice NG'd addition for say 10-15 minutes a game. Great to spell Giannis and Bobby - excellent for Giannis overlap minutes. He is now 2 + years removed from major leg injuries and his game is very very amenable to Old Man All-Star status - great passer, good handle, excellent size, can shoot. What's not to love. Ja'Vonte is a bit 'meh' for me at the moment in that, well, he certainly isn't a PG. Decent shooter, yes, but he has a slower release. Does this mean they are developing a 2? And, the John Wall rumors are true as another PG...or is DDV closer than we think? I don't know. It will be interesting to see what is shaking down the line.
  20. Ned Flanders is that you? Howdy neighbor, what kind of other jokes can I do do do doooooodly do for ya?
  21. Good for Avi! Glad to see the man get paid after such a nice bounce back season. Gotta make way for Mr. Wiemer and we may as well start now. (I’m only partly kidding)
  22. Over the last five years the Brewers have spent around 450 million to win 395 games, the Mets have spent around 725 million dollars to win 337 games. They also have Lindor (10/341 remaining), Cano (2/48 remaining) & Carrasco (1/15 remaining) on the books which might make one gulp twice. No wonder Cohen is apparently banking on the hope he can maybe buy our POBO next year. I do believe this calls for a ‘Double Gulp’. Cheers!
  23. Man, this is the worst Fantasy Football season I can recall having. I am almost always a Winners Bracket guy. This season, I lost McCaffrey; Edwards; and Carson in the first few weeks. My gamble on Marquez Calloway was a quagmire. I haven’t had Murray for 4 weeks straight. I almost always leave my pivotal player on the Bench. 3-8 and it won’t look kich better any time soon. LOL.
  24. Gotta admit, my first reaction to the Escobar deal was a snarky internal remark: “Well, at least we have JBJ back for One yeat at $9.5M.” And, I guess, Cain for $18M. And, I guess, Yelich’s extension kicking in to boot. Gulp. Regardless, back to grounded reality, tho I obviously don’t like the aforementioned contracts I also don’t think losing Escobar is that big of a deal. He faded at the most inopportune time and was relegated to the bench in the NLDS. If he can’t be trusted there, he is more than likely immediately expendable in the FO’s eyes. Is what it is. Agree with others: they desperately need some form of Pop in the Lineup. We are losing Avi and Escobar. I don’t trust any internal options to fill that void.
  25. Yes DDV is one of the better guard defenders out there. (especially off ball/help) Allen is regarded as an average defender. Agreed. DDV really is a fantastic defender. He is the consummate does a lot of little things guy - really good rebounder for his size, disrupts passing lanes, pesky. Grayson is simply a way more defined and refined offensive player. DDV is really not reliable offensively whereas Grayson is quite good from 3 and overall quite a bit more polished with every facet of shooting the ball. Will be a real luxury if they can keep both and wouldn’t be surprised in the least if they packaged DDV given their limited assets for another Big or younger true back-up PG. I personally hope they manage to keep them both. Edit to add: when the Buckaroos have both Jrue and DDV healthy and guarding opposing backcourts they really really give opponents problems. A great defensive duo.
