  1. JBJ. Well, it was destiny’s hand here. Oh well.
  2. As the Wiemer rises up the Minors circuit, I wish him much success!
  3. Impressive back-to-back Wins w such a depleted roster. Excited to see them fully healthy.
  4. What a showing by Matzek to preserve the lead. Awesome stuff.
  5. It's early, I know, but it certainly looks like we might have a Wiemer. (I won't see myself out. This is just beginning.)
  6. I just love the Braves lineup in the Batter's Box. They are so dang disciplined overall. Like the anti-Brewer lineup. I wish our pitching was gifted their plate discipline. My guy, Albies, just fought off 3 tough pitches. Takes a low Ball 4 to load the bases up 4-1 here in the Bottom of the 6th. This team just has that post-season flow going.
  7. Joey Weimer...that's muh guy. LOVE to see it. Absolutely LOVE it. Thanks gents!
  8. Right? The unfortunate thing for us: The Brewers just played their worst prolonged stretch of baseball since their early season and they suffered for it. This being said, I want to go back to what I said during the series: The Braves are a very very good baseball team. No shame in losing to them when they were clearly the better team in the Series (at least in my eyes). AND, it's always wonderful watching the Dodgers lose. Almost as pleasing as a Cardinals loss. Almost.
  9. This was a clear result of the season ending the way it did. I honestly have no clue how much actual blame goes Haines way BUT the Brewers had to do something. I'm curious as to what approach they take. Love the SF Giants share. Thanks.
  10. Heel contusion. Clean MRI. Day-to-Day. I say 2 weeks. Those can be real tender and tricky.
  11. Thanks to all of you for posting these Updates. This keeps me intrigued and engaged throughout the offseason. Many thanks.
  12. Another unlikeable Cardinal figurehead sent packing. I wonder what glorious unlikeable figurehead they will place atop their pedestal this go-around.
  13. I'm excited for what's in store. This team had flaws and they overcame them for the majority of the season with an incredible run of inspired play and winning baseball. We obviously have Starting pitching depth - and, holy hell, what depth it is. The wheels just fell off at the absolute worst time. We lost a lot of mojo when Taylor, Adames, Escobar, Avi, Rowdy, and Freddy got injured. Up until that point, we had been rollllllllling as a fine-tuned series-winning machine. Jace got cold after an improbably productive season at the plate. We lost Hiura the moment the season began when we realized he couldn't hit anything. The bullpen, which was a source of strength and shutdown innings for several months, became shaky as could be at the most inopportune time. Losing Suter and Williams reallly reallly hurt us. The Braves are a very good and solid team top to bottom - I have no qualms about losing the Series. Sure, questionable results occurred and it is quite easy to second guess some moves but they fought hard in their elimination game after scoring a mere 2 runs in their first 3. Considering where this ball club was pre-Adames? I'll take this season. The result. To the bank. I think better days are ahead. I wish they advanced, but I am not surprised they had an early exit...given our offensive short-comings and our sudden bullpen weakness I just saw us as one of the weaker teams in the post-season. But, man, I tried to maintain positivity and belief through it all. It was challenging. I wish things had gone differently.
  14. Thank You. Absolutely agreed. Strickland was really off on key pitches. Ashby had an extremely unfortunate 1st inning. Is what it is. I did notice, however, Ashby had lost his movement on his fastball - was quite a bit more restrained in action.
  15. Absolutely. I remember their deadline. I remember we played them right out of the deadline and I also remember thinking: How are these NL East teams sitting at 0.500?!? They give you tough tough AB's. They don't make many mistakes. Their pitching really came on. I like their squad quite a bit. With Acuna? I absolutely love their 1-6 offensive Lineup. I said in this thread, but, I really love Albies. I think he is an extremely underrated player.
  16. Does the guys body look like a guy who is going to get in the gym and get healthy?? Bulk up a bit?? I don't think so. Huh? *Shaking head* Yeah, um, that point lost me at the gym. Dunno.
  17. Agreed on all accounts. Absolutely. We had an incredible run middle to late season. But, the wheels just fell off. Our bullpen regressed badly and suffered injuries. Key offensive players lost their rhythms during injuries. We found something in Rowdy. Will be fun to watch the off-season. We were right in the cellar of this Playoff Lineup across both Leagues. We lost to the better team if we're being honest. No shame in admitting defeat. Reset button and try again next season. It was a great run.
  18. I have to say, it's amazing seeing the Brewers have an absolute Brewers string of moments in an elimination game. I feel like all the wounds of prior seasons are being opened again. It doesn't feel very good.
  19. Yeah, Hotlanta is certainly benefiting from some amazing trash hits. LOL. Sometimes that's the way it goes. I thought after that miscue it was going to be another dribbler. Instead it was almost a chopper that went to the stratosphere before coming back down.
  20. You get out of the inning like that? Toss that miscue in the trash and take the darn game. What a play. That ball hung for an eternity.
  21. I still am having a hard time processing that miscue between Woody and Rowdy. How does that even happen?
