  1. Yeah, that was a terrible plate appearance. Just terrible.
  2. Just get the ball to the damned outfield, Turang.
  3. I wasn't able to catch the first half of the game but Burnes holding this team to zero runs in that bandbox means he had to be really on tonight.
  4. Honestly, I think the leader in my mind is the Padres because they're 100% certifiably insane. Second are the Dodgers, probably, who aren't nearly as insane, just wealthy.
  5. It felt almost inevitable but it may finally be happening. The Angels, fringe contenders for an American League Wild Card berth who saw Mike Trout go down with an injury a couple of weeks ago, are now reportedly considering trading Shohei "The Best Baseball Player on the Planet" Ohtani. This shouldn't be surprising, as the Angels' postseason hopes largely rode on the health of Ohtani and Trout as a duo. And the Angels will be loathe to let Ohtani walk into free agency without getting something in return... or at least that should be their mindset right now. It's unlikely the Brewers will enter this mix, as they likely do not have the intestinal fortitude to pay the price of acquiring a couple of months of Shohei Ohtani. But merely putting Ohtani on the market up-ends it like no other player. This will have far-reaching ramifications across the trade market should Shohei end up being traded. It's worth keeping an eye on Ohtani rumors even if they don't directly involve the Milwaukee Brewers View full rumor

  7. So far, every vote has Chourio at the top... I thought one of you might go rogue and vote Quero.
  8. Thank you, MLB.com pulled a fast one on me by changing their process. They put me on today's schedule and I didn't realize it, so I flipped to tomorrow's schedule without noticing. Thought it seemed weird that Counsell would use Peralta out of the break but it's early and my brain isn't working so good.
  9. Baseball is back and the Brewers are in Cincinnati. A win puts the Brewers back into a first place tie!
  10. This is an offseason forum and I simply didn't have the time to make it work last offseason. I'll have another go at it this offseason and if no one is interested, that's fine, we'll shut it down.
  11. The reason I'm not particularly concerned about this is because the trade deadline is going to shuffle pieces around again just a week later. The list is going to be more fluid than it has been in the past.
  12. I thought about this and just vote as if the draftees are signed. If a draftee fails to sign, I will bump them off the list and add the 21st highest-ranked prospect to the top 20 list.
  13. Okay, so I've been dying to release this for a long time now, probably about a year. It has taken several iterations and delays to get it rolling and Brewer Fanatic gets to try it first because one of you came up with the idea (thanks, @homer)! Okay, so this process is pretty simple but requires a bit of reading to understand all the steps. 1. You must have an account and be logged in to vote. If you don't have an account, click here. It literally requires 60 seconds to create an account. 2. Review our current top 20 prospect list, catch up on stats, rankings, etc. 3. Have your prospect list in your dirty little paws? Then flip on over to the new prospect voting page (after reading the rest of this, please). 4. Voting is super simple, you drag and drop players in the order you wish them to be. After you move a prospect, the list automatically renumbers so you don't lose track of the order. This works on mobile devices but it's a *vastly* better experience on desktop. Sorry, that's just how this kind of thing works. There's no great way to make something like this be as awesome on a phone screen. 5. Each prospect has a comment section where you can add any commentary you have on that player. At the bottom of the list, there is a general comment section to explain over-arching things you wish to mention. 6. Don't see a prospect you want to put on the list? Just pop back here and give me a mention (in a comment, start typing @Brock Beauchamp and then select my name when it appears). Mention the prospect you want added and I will do that asap. 7. Once you're done with all of it, click Save. You've now voted! 8. When the voting closes, a new thread will automatically generate in this forum with all of your rankings and comments for everyone to read and talk about. 9. You can only vote once. If you have voted in error, pop back here and again tag me, asking to have your vote deleted. I will remove it and you can vote again. UPDATE: voting will now close at 11:59pm Tuesday July 18th! If you have questions or comments, put 'em here!
  14. Glad to have you! If you're into draft stuff, be sure to check out our draft tracker and tomorrow morning, @Smichaelis9 is going to run through an analysis of every pick in the draft (two part series). It's *really* good stuff.
  15. I speed-read through the post and added some paragraph breaks, probably in some rather nonsensical places but it's more legible now.
  16. Let's ease up on the stream of consciousness nature of the post, everybody. Be nice. As for Hader, I love him but acknowledge that the Brewers are not the kind of team that can afford to play in the "expensive and aging reliever" market. It's a really bad use of their limited resources.
  17. I feel like the OP missed a real opportunity by not naming this topic "Do Robots Dream of Electric Strikes?"
