This ignores that Hader was equally bad both before and after the trade. He had a 7.31 ERA for the Padres and was removed from closer duties for quite awhile.
I think it's pretty obvious that the clubhouse suffered a significant blow with the departure of Hader. Did that knock the Brewers out of the postseason? Possibly. It's impossible to quantify such things.
But the actual on-field performance of Hader or his replacements were not what caused the Brewers to lose out on October.
And what the organization turned Hader into is nothing short of astounding.
Really early start today. The Brewers have a solid chance of taking the series in Philly. By taking one of the first two games with very uneven pitching matchups, the Crew now has Burnes on the mound.
In July, Burnes is 3-0 with a 1.89 ERA.
I've been watching the game but hanging out on the Cubs forum (shame on me, I know)... apparently Pro Sports Daily is shutting down so we're getting a bunch of new users over there.
But hey, Joey Wiemer!
Yeah, I think that's about right.
Chourio - gold star, blue chip, all that
Quero, Misiorowski - ascendant, could be great
Black, Frelick - good solid prospects, could go either way
A bunch of guys

The Brewers have some rather unfortunate pitching matchups in this series. Like yesterday, the Phillies have the advantage on paper but the Brewers damn near pulled off last night's game, maybe they can push one over the line tonight.
You’re assuming only positive things from Turang and only negative from Adames, who is 27 years old and having the worst offensive partial season of his career.
Why are you so confident in Turang? His MiLB OPS is .741, which is .020 lower than Adames’ MLB OPS.
Adames is in arb. He’s not making a ton of money.
Having a 60 wRC+ player like Turang in your lineup can sink a season. It’s a bad plan A. His offensive progression cannot be assumed.
Adames is still on pace for about 2.5 WAR this season. You absolutely bring him back in hopes of a rebound and even if he doesn’t, $10m for 2 WAR is decent value.
