  1. "Basically, Milwaukee has been the only team to be terrible on all pitches in the strike zone--swinging or taking."
  2. Bleh to that tenth inning last night. Bleh, I say.
  3. @Ghostbear feel free to copy your existing post here and add it to the discussion team canada linked above. I'd do it for you but there are some limitations on how I can manipulate article threads.
  4. Well, last night was fun. I didn't get to watch the late-inning explosion until afterward but hey, Sal Frelick y'all. His OPS is up to .980 now. Lefty on the mound tonight so we'll get to see the new trade deadline lineup.
  5. The Rockies are in town. The Brewers haven't gotten the job done against the Nats and Bucs, they can't afford to repeat that performance against Colorado.
  6. Rough loss last night and with Burnes on the mound, tonight is the type of game you absolutely have to win down the stretch.
  7. A step was missed during the editing process, fixed now.
  8. Back in first place, now stay there!
  9. Welcome to Brewer Fanatic!
  10. Well, I'm certainly glad I gave myself the day off and binged Silo on Apple TV+ instead of watching... whatever happened here.
  11. Yep, and Woody made a start in AAA yesterday, going 4.2 innings!
  12. A day game with The Ace on the mound!
  13. Seriously man, cool off a bit. There's no reason to dismiss that comment. Because that's literally the way I understand "control your own destiny", too.
  14. Apologies to anyone who thinks I'm a bit of a lunatic right now, I am, this is what I look like after a week of spending 15 hours at or near a computer for a week and paying WAYYYYY too much attention to baseball that wasn't in a fun way. It's just really great to watch baseball again without... well, working.
  15. Oh, I was actually following the Brewers pretty closely at that point and was into it (though admittedly, not like most of you because I was in SoCal). It was insane, I was sooooo excited that Sabathia was just... incredible. It got to such a point that I was literally worried about Sabathia's arm and his pending free agency because he was THROWING SO MANY INNINGS, ALL THE INNINGS. At one point, didn't he almost throw three complete games in a row? (and to show my Brewers love, I didn't look that up, haven't seen it anywhere recently, just going straight up from memory)
  16. Brewers have found a market inefficiency by targeting relievers whose last names start with P.
  17. You know, I thought about that a lot and I think the Contreras trade will eclipse it. That 2008 run was magical but it was like 15 starts, ended abruptly, and cost quite a bit.
  18. Keep hitting 105mph and literally any contact profile plays, even Joey Gallo.
  19. No, it's not. Here is a hilarious video of one of our Twins Daily founders (the closest thing to a baseball genius I've been close to) batting while his podcast-mate tries to catch a 100mph fastball. The podcaster is a pretty serious baseball player with cred, he's not just "a guy". https://twinsdaily.com/videos/twins-daily/parker-hageman-at-the-100mph-fastball-challenge-r138/
  20. I've sat next to plenty of Cubs fans. They're not great. I think Cardinals fans are worse. At least the Cubs spend 95% of their existence being feckless twits who subvert their own attempts at success.
  21. See, and that's why I dislike the Cards. Everything about their franchise just reeks of self-congratulatory arrogance and I cheer their downfall in every moment.
  22. That trade would have actually been great for the Twins, too, had their bass-ackwards front office not traded Hardy for peanuts because they couldn't understand modern defensive metrics.
  23. The weirdest thing about all of this is how not-rare Uribe's triple-digit velocity is nowadays. Such a weird thing to say.
