  1. For some reason, I'm less scared of the Phillies than many. I know their lineup is fierce but it just feels like if that offense isn't hot, that team is very very beatable.
  2. And that's fair. I'm not really sure where I land with those three teams yet. I suspect how they finish will influence me one way or the other.
  3. Additionally, I just watched the Diamondbacks tear through the Cubs. I don't want to play them right now.
  4. I'm curious where fans land on which team they want to play in the first round. For now, ignore home field or assume the Brewers will have home field. I'm leaving out the Reds, Marlins, and Giants because (IMO) those are the easy choices. The three teams currently in a Wild Card spot are much more difficult to sort.
  5. We really do. I know some people groan at some of the articles for a variety of reasons but we really want the writers to come at things from "their" angle. I often disagree with what is published on this site. I'm not the only opinion in the room, nor do I want to be.
  6. It's technically possible but given how Stearns and Arnold seem to operate, it's hard to envision everybody coming back in 2024 unless something crazy happens like the Brewers win the World Series. Which I'm okay with happening, FTR.
  7. But a topic for discussion: do all of you want the MiLB recaps to stay in the MiLB forum? That's what we do at Twins Daily and it works well, as the MiLB forum is less intensely populated with topics so they fit more naturally in there.
  8. I know where the majority is going on land on this, I'm just curious how lop-sided it will be so I'm running this poll. This is happening earlier than I'd like but I really do try to listen to all of your feedback. On Twins Daily, we ran the front page article threads in the Twins forum, just as we do here in the Brewers forum. But as Twins Daily grew and our stable of writers expanded - we have a policy that mostly consists of "if you want to write it, write it" - the Twins forum became overwhelmed with articles and it pushed out user content. That's no good, we value our user content in the forums, all of you are the glue that holds the site together. Traffic isn't where I'd like it to be to make this move but if it's driving all of you nuts, it's more important to compromise now for the sake of the community than try to wait for the "perfect" time to make this transition. So my mind is pretty much made up on this already, we'll be moving the front page articles to the News forum. But I'd like to see how extreme the polling is on this just in case I'm getting the vibe of the forum very, very wong.
  9. This is exactly what we ran into on Twins Daily. I think it might be time to pull the trigger on moving articles to the news forum. I'm dealing with moving my dad to assisted living so my days are really chaotic right now, give me a few days to put up a poll and get community feedback on this.
  10. If they're going to coalesce for one last run, now is the time.
  11. Well, that was a wild one last night. Hard not to be dreaming on Burnes and Woodruff in October given the past few days.
  12. Welcome to Brewer Fanatic! Another MKE fan? Great pod!
  13. It would have been fun to sweep the Yankees but ultimately, two out of three is a win. Now comes a slightly more interesting series with postseason implications. The Marlins are fighting for the third Wild Card spot while the Brewers will host the third WC spot if they win the division.
  14. Same. I’m almost all baseball now. I watch some NBA but as a Minnesota resident who formerly lived in Los Angeles, the local team is… uninspiring, to put it lightly.
  15. He’s an excellent manager, I don’t really understand the rising animosity toward him among fans.
  16. That explains the “Nola” in your screen name!
  17. I’m pretty neutral on it but it’s a bold-ass move.
  18. I’ve been running baseball sites for a long time. Opening football weekend is a ghost town every time.
  19. Walking Judge to load the bases. Bold.
  20. Yeah. The 3/4 seeds are basically indistinguishable for that reason. Both get a home series.
  21. I've basically given up hope whether the Brewers can wrap this up before the showdown with the Cubs in the last series of the year. The best I'm hoping for is that both teams have played well and are fighting for home field, not a postseason spot.
  22. Heya, get to go for the sweep while the Cubs keep losing to Arizona.
