  1. Really? That's super weird. The trade happened PLENTY early yesterday.
  2. Hah, yes, that's done automatically on the forum side of things! But also, thanks so much for writing this up for us!
  3. Welcome to the Brewers, Carlos Santana!
  4. No, nobody expected Rowdy to be this bad. I was pretty meh on Winker but given how Wong has performed, everybody lost in that deal.
  5. Yeah, it's a good pickup, though slightly frustrating because so many of us wanted the Brewers to just sign Santana during the offseason.
  6. I struggle to see a situation where Carlos Santana could sneak up on anyone, ever.
  7. I find it hilarious that he has swiped six bags. It's something I never noticed about Santana before this mention.
  8. MLB Trade Rumors collected a handy Brewers rumor roundup today, which is useful because while the Brewers have been their typically tight-lipped selves, there are still things to talk about. The Brewers are looking at middle infielders, though the names are a little strange Willy Adames and Brice Turang have underperformed offensively, which is driving the front office to pursue middle infield help Matt Arnold mentioned that any middle infield help would prioritize and preserve run-prevention Though no rumors are directly linked to Milwaukee, it's hard to envision them not acquiring a first base or DH bat Because the Brewers prioritize and hold their prospects in such high regard, it's possible they deal from a position of surplus such as Victor Caratini There's a lot to unpack here and many options open to the Brewers. What do you target first and why? View full rumor

  10. I Don't have faith in Monasterio, I think it's still prudent to buy insurance on him.
  11. This is one of the most exciting and under-rated aspects of 2023. The Brewers are showing real promise on the farm and with young players where as recently as last season, they had a ton of question marks that made contending in 2025 difficult to predict. Chourio and Quero's emergence solidify the lineup, along with the varying performances of Wiemer, Turang, Frelick, et al. But really where the Brewers looked thin going forward was pitching. While Misiorowski doesn't patch all of the holes, he's looking like a HUGE step in the right direction to fill in after Burnes and/or Woodruff leave.
  12. I'm a big believer in letting a player opt out if that's what it takes to sign them. If you get two good/great years and they leave, that's not the worst thing in the world. You received two prime-age seasons and then someone else assumes later risk.
  13. The Brewers absolutely dominated the Reds.
  14. Monasterio. Again. No one tell him he's not supposed to be this good.
  15. I still try to extend Woodruff. Maybe the injury bumps him down a few bucks. I probably trade Burnes. I let Adames play out the string and hope he's worth a QO after 2024.
  16. I still have long-term questions about his offense but if he can just linger around .680, I think the Brewers can live with that for awhile.
  17. I know others aren't high on him but I think he's a solid, middling pickup. Exactly the kind of thing the Brewers could use against LHP down the stretch. It's not flashy but it's also not expensive.
  18. I mean... I can't say that's wrong. Any prolonged Brewers run is going to require some temporary hot-ness from a few hitters in October. But that's kinda the case no matter what.
  19. Have you looked at Ohtani's OPS? The Brewers just held their own against Atlanta for three games, Shohei certainly isn't going to make them worse.
  20. Whoa whoa whoa, wild overpay. Reel it in, buddy.
  21. I don't know... Can you even imagine a five game series with Burnes, Ohtani, Woodruff? Uh oh, I think I need to go change my pants now.
