  1. That's silly information. How old are they?
  2. I've always been concerned that Pierce just can't seem to get separation especially given the quality of talent they played against.
  3. I think they just picked up their 2nd Millen award of the draft.
  4. Reminiscent of TT's later drafts? Wonder if anyone's asked Belichek the 10 questions to test cognitive impairment
  5. If any player has the likelihood of having multiple issues while in the NFL I would think it's George Pickens and not Wyatt. Within a week of the draft and he is in an incident at 4am in the morning. Can't unteach stupid.
  6. Washington just trying to wrestle the dumbest organization title from the Jags and they may win by the end of the draft.
  7. Kyler Gordon is a smart guy. He didn't look happy at all to be going to the Bears.
  8. Now watch no WR are picked until the mid-50s
  9. OK. We got our WR and lost a pick.
  10. Packers are up?
  11. He's been on administrative leave and receiving full salary since last May. So he basically made $35M waiting for MLB to decide.
  12. MLB Suspends Trevor Bauer for 2 SEASONS.
  13. Well if there is a run on the 5-6 WR I think have Round 2 grades before the 47/48 picks then there has been a TON of talent left on the board which the Packers should feast on either by trading up to 47/48 (53+4th) or get at 53/59. At some point teams will need to move vets that they can't afford or want to keep all of the 1st/2nd round receivers and Gute can make a trade. They also could pivot to a TE like McBride at 59. Pretty much a deja vu of last night, let the other teams overdraft WR then get the cream of the dropping/overlooked crop. Value Value Value. With the Defense the Packers are putting together, many teams might need 2 WR#1 to even have a chance.
  14. The 30 year narrative that the Packers have been Lucky to have back-to-back HOF Quarterbacks has morphed into the only reason the Packers have been successful over that time. It ignores the mounds of data that even a team with a HOF-caliber QB doesn't have extended success without finding the best 21/52 other players. I think there's just a huge and clueless POV that the Packers have a poor front office that is saved by their HOF QB. Outside of the TT Dementia drafts this team for 30 years has had smart people running the draft, player development and roster construction who know that a stable of elite WR doesn't win you much when your OL couldn't stop a turtle and your DL couldn't pressure the same turtle playing both ways.
  15. Excellent summation. Your first sentence got me thinking (WALTERFOOTBALL), because in my opinion, they have some of the laziest of lazy takes and here's the piece de resistance of their grade: I don't know how the Packers could spend a first-round pick on someone who could easily be suspended repeatedly throughout his career.
  16. Yeah, PFF started their grade (Good) on Wyatt by commenting on their WR/1st round history then proceed to grade Wyatt as the best IDL on the board above everyone else, but the Packers get a "good". LOL. PFF users picked Skyy Moore. Are they the equivalent of baseball's "Chicks dig the long ball" (sure, Moore is more a slot guy, but WR, WR, WR, WR ooh they really rock!) If they get one of Pierce, Tolbert or Perkins in round 2 I will be happy. We need depth at EDGE and I am guessing that would be the other pick in round 2 if they take a WR (IF?). Pitre would be nice too and he might be available when the Packers pick. If they don't use a 4th round pick to move up in 2 or 3 I am guessing TE in 3 then OT's/fill in EDGE/S depending on what has already been picked in 4 Walker had some reps at EDGE last year (IIRC) so it may be less of a need for an EDGE right now (They might go S since Amos is in his last year and Savage looked meh last year). Also, someone like Tyquan Thornton could be their developmental WR they take later to complement a RD 2 pick.
  17. The should have added "except on the playing field, where he kicked ass!"
  18. I like how he jumped early/hopped then still blew by his man.
  19. I like him, but he is likely gone by 53 and if they make a move up it should be for a WR (all smoke and comments aside from Gute). Brisker might drop and Cross & Joseph are good 3rd round options.
  20. Love it. He may also be blowing some smoke about his intensions.
  21. The other positive of having a run heavy offense is that Mike Pettine is the DC for the Vikings, so 200ypg of rushing will be the norm when the Packers play the Vikes.
  22. It might be just as much about the last few years of Aaron Rodgers, but mostly that is the team you want when you transition from Aaron Rodgers to the next GB QB.
  23. Awesome draft so far. Just Awesome.
