  1. I can't think of a Badger in the last 30 years that compares to Connor Essegian. Herro is longer, more explosive athletically, and has a more complete offensive game than CE. For me Reddick is closer comparison. CE to this point is mostly a catch and shoot guy. He has a pretty quick release, comes off screens well and has a bit of a mid range game. To this point he hasn't shown much in the way of an ability to get to the rim and finish yet. He is young and raw but his future at the college level is bright. Should be fun to watch him develop.
  2. Klesmit has been better than I expected. He has been the glue guy for this team. I would still like to see him be more assertive on the offensive end though- I think he defers too much to others when he has open looks It would have been nice to have that win versus Wake Forest, especially at home, but I would guess when we look back at that loss at the end of the season it won't look too bad. Wake has a chance to be really good IMO.
  3. Agree. Not sure he has the explosive athleticism that the Blue Bloods desire, but he is a very skilled player. His footwork is good and he uses his left hand really well. Would love to see him at UW. Saw that a couple UW players were going to see him play tonight I think
  4. I'm interested to see how this team comes together. I can see them playing small ball with Wahl at the 5 and going with 4 perimeter guys that can score against several teams. I recall reading somewhere that Wahl looked much improved as a shooter this summer. If he could even shoot from 12 feet consistently that would really help open up his overall game.
  5. Good info, thanks. I did notice Jaraba has some power too. Will be fun to watch this young group develop

  7. Avina is definitely one I will keep an eye on next season. He needs to cut the K rate, but his raw power is impressive. I really liked Areinamo as well, he has shown some good plate discipline and contact skills plus plays pretty good D. Luis Castillo was another prospect I liked and would consider in this group, I think he was ultimately promoted to A ball as well. He was pretty similar to Areinamo with a bit more power as I recall.

  9. Love this topic, I am always looking for suggestions on what to read, just wish I had more time to do so. Most recently I have read In Cold Blood- Truman Capote, The Road- Cormac McCarthy, A Brief History of Time- Stephen Hawking and Band of Brothers- Stephen Ambrose. Nothing new but all good reads
  10. Mafe would be great if he's still be on the board, his combine performance has drawn a lot of attention though. Another edge I like is Karlaftis who might drop down the board a bit because of injury. I would love to see them be able to address this position in the first couple rounds
