  1. Hopefully Misiorowski doesn't melt away pitching this afternoon with the 100+ degree temperature. The heat this summer has been brutal down here.
  2. Brandon Knarr is a good prospect for this category. He had a good season last year after dominating High A, then held his own in AA with good K/9 and WHIP numbers. I thought he could be a potential contributor at the MLB level. The injury lost season sucks for him, hope he comes back healthy and picks up where he left off.

  4. I agree that Ethan Murray might be an overlooked prospect by some Brewer fans. He has been solid, not spectacular at Biloxi and he is still 23 years old so he has some time to develop. I disagree that Daniel Guilarte is overlooked as he is a current member of the BF Top 20 prospects. I would add Cam Devanney. While he is adored by many here, he has not been discussed much recently after a slow start this year, but he has picked it up and is having a fine year again.
  5. I would read the SP Player of the month article by @Smichaelis9 that was referenced in the beginning of this article. He has some good info on Logan Henderson
  6. Thanks for all the work you do here @Mass Haas I also hope Gasser can continue some consistency with his command the rest of the season and force his way into the MKE rotation.
  7. Well done @Smichaelis9 I am enjoying reading through your series of, "players of the month" articles. Some pretty exciting arms in the lower levels of the minors. Looking forward to seeing some of the guys in Biloxi next year, hopefully.
  8. So nice to see Wes Clarke in the spotlight. He has been understandably overshadowed by the young stars at Biloxi, but he has really put together a nice season of his own. He's still only 23 years old and has some positional versatility, splitting time between C, 1B, and DH. Outside of a rough April, he has an .OPS over 800 in each month since, bringing his season OPS over 800. His issue is a super high K rate, I would love to see him get that down drastically and see him advance in the system. He also seems like a great guy from what I have observed at Biloxi this year the way he interacts with teammates and fans. Really happy for him
  9. Absolutely! @Joseph Zarr adds context to the box score with his observations and commentary. @Mass Haas with so much added information and content as well. I really appreciate having this forum to keep up with and follow these prospects.
  10. @damuelle I just wanted to make sure to thank you very much for putting these informative articles together every day. It's every day must read material for me to keep up with what is happening on the farm. I really appreciate what you contribute to this site.
  11. I think Jackson Chourio is truly a generational talent in the Brewers system and I can't think of one good reason to hold him back if he continues on his current trajectory.
  12. Mining for minor league nuggets! I love it. Noah Campbell is now on my radar.
  13. Correct me if I am wrong, but Chourio appears to have far superior plate discipline and contact skills as compared to Justin Upton. He also has a lot of filling out to do to be compared to Upton physically. I would agree his ceiling higher As I recall, Upton had a huge hole in his swing that was exploited at the MLB level and he never was quite able to adjust. I think Chourio would handle MLB pitching today if he were called up.
  14. I am enjoying reading your series of articles @clancyphile well done. I had a chance to see James Meeker pitch last night- it will be interesting to see how he develops. It would be a benefit to him to develop a slower off speed offering I think. He appeared to be pretty much fastball/slider.
  15. I think I am warming to the idea of giving Toro a shot too. Doesn't seem likely the FO will promote Hiura, Chourio, or Black to Milwaukee. I'd hate to lose good prospects for league average rentals at the deadline. Toro can play defense, his LH/RH splits are pretty even and the OPS over 800 looks good. Issue is with past MLB performance, the .629 OPS in over 800 ABs is not pretty.
  16. As I recall, Turang was notorious for slow starts at each new level in the minors. Last year he struggled through a long stretch at Nashville with no XBH's. He ended the year much improved. Seems like if history repeats, he will get better with more exposure to to MLB pitching.
  17. As I recall, last year around August 1 was when Mitchell, Frelick, and Wiemer were promoted to Nashville. I am expecting something similar with Chourio, Black and maybe Quero this year. Who knows?
  18. No doubt. I hope Brewer fans realize just how special he is. I want to make it over to Biloxi a couple more times yet before he is promoted, just not the type of player that comes along too often
  19. He appears to have insanely quick hands and is letting the ball get deeper in the hitting zone which might explain in part, the oppo approach he's taken this year. The power is amazing.
  20. I believe Branch is the only true safety with a first round grade. Johnson, I've read, is looked at as more of a slot corner in the NFL. I'd guess Branch goes pretty high.
  21. I share your despair. The family spent some time this year in Nashville for New Year's, thankfully we stayed downtown. We did however take the kids to see the ice sculpture exhibit at Opryland. We ended up leaving right away. It probably didn't help that it was full of Kentucky football fans for the Music City Bowl game either.
  22. I'm curious what you all think of "Last of Us," so far? I am not a gamer so I'm not sure where it's going but I'm enjoying it.
  23. Good info, thanks. I did notice Jaraba has some power too. Will be fun to watch this young group develop
