    Well done Geno. I too am taking a beating because of this series and the punchline has been something to the fact of "I can't believe your manager did this...or that" several times. The worst part? I work in outside sales and my customers are the ones giving me the business so I can't say a dang thing! Yost definitely has his good points and would make a very good secondary coach but he doesn't have the total package to get the job done. He just can't get a grasp on how to run a pitching staff. He also gets way to attached to "his guys" and seems to forget that while this is a game/sport...it is still a business. If I am as crappy at my job as Rickie Weeks is I would be fired...poor Rickie will only get benched. Ned needs to grow a pair and make the tough decisions...

    My #1 pet peeve is the driver that doesn't use cruise control. I know it has been mentioned before but this really chaps my tail. I regularly get passed while doing 7-8 mph over the limit by the same type of moron. Mr. Businessman that is really important, driving his imported car and weaving in and out of lanes. Then his blackberry either rings or he gets a new email. He immediately weaves back into the right lane, slows down in front of me and causes me to pass him. Then, he has the balls to give me a dirty look when I pass and give him the "why the hell are you such a moron" look. I don't flip him the bird, I don't gesture at him like a maniac...I just give him the "you are a moron" look while shaking my head. This happened to me today on HWY 41 near Appleton and I got even more peeved. This big, fat man with too tight of a dress shirt neckline, too shaggy of a hair style (covering up baldness?) and a completely "comb my hair in the paint" shiny BMW passed me while going around 80 or so. Then, his phone rang (or he got a new email...etc). Without a signal he went from the left lane to the shoulder of the HWY (about 1/2 mile ahead of me). I passed him and he was playing with his blackberry. About a minute later he passed me again doing about 85-90 this time. I gave him the "you're an idiot look" when he passed for good measure. I laughed when he was pulled over by a State Policeman about 5 miles ahead. It really made my day.

    lcbj68c - I appreciate the advice here! I wasn't thinking about response times... Gun, safe and dog. Gun - Have plenty of these (chedderhead through and through). This collection is what the thief was after in my opinion (and the LEO's that responded to the call). One of my rifles (carbine, non-hunting) was out of place...meaning that the case was open and laying across my bed. I have a gun safe that is currently empty and in my garage. Dumb move but one that is changing this afternoon/evening. While I know that I could use a weapon if push came to shove it doesn't help when I'm not at home. Safe - I have the gun safe as well as a personal safe. Neither was found and I'm happy about that. These will both be bolted to a stud from the inside of the safe after this evening. Dog - Allergies...unfortunately this won't work. Alarms - I'm probably going to get a couple of self-installed motion sensitive alarms for my entry doors for when I am at home (activated at night). There are a couple on the market that are deafening type of loud and they look like they would do the trick. Plus, they would mask the "click, click" of my shotgun, rifle or carbine...whichever comes out of the safe first http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

    Hi all, I was recently the victim of a break-in at my home (yep, if you read the dreams thread I had a dream about it happening the night before...freaky). Do any of you have a system that you really trust? Maybe a system that you absolutely hate (any why)? My wife and I have been on pins and needles the last two nights and need to find some "security" in order to sleep now...especially w/ a 2 1/2 year old that now sleeps in our room as well...     I have a reoccurring dream that happened last night again...and it was pretty freaky how it happened. I always get the feeling that there is someone in my house in my dreams...like I can feel that they are there. I usually get out of bed (in my dream) and go find the person that has broken in. Usually I end up finding the bad guy and kicking the crap out of him until the police arrive. Last night, I was starting to have the dream (shaking, twitching and kicking) and my wife woke me up. I darn near took a swing at her as I thought I was still in the dream and she was the person that had broken in. She freaked out, I freaked out and I only slept in small stretches the rest of the night. Actually, I'm still a little freaked out by the dream. Sheesh. Edit: Speleng. Hukt en foniks werkt fer me!

    I also recommend the paintball party. Not all of the guys will be close friends so the opportunity to shoot the non-liked-as-much new brother-in-law with a paintball gun is loads of fun. Plus, you have "battle wounds" to compare, and a good workout to boot. You can get by pretty economically on this and then finish up w/ a bonfire and booze plus grilling and you have a full day and evening...

    I didn't read the entire thread but I can definitely agree with the people that said to make sure you visit all of the campuses that you are considering. I took the tour (back in 1996...yeah, I'm old) and found that La Crosse was the best fit for me for a couple of reasons. The campus is very compact, the sports teams are fantastic to watch (or play on if you can make it) and the facilities are generally top notch. There are tons of places to do things in the outdoors in the area, they have their own summer baseball team (Loggers) and the nightlife is very good as well. I'm biased because I am a UW-L grad but after visiting all of the state schools none of them even came close to my beloved UW-L.

    Try reading while laying on your back and resting your head on a substantial pillow. This works because you naturally constrict some of the airflow to your lungs due to the "bend/kink" in your throat. Strange? Yes. Does it work? Yep, for me it does...

    So, if the scouts are saying that a position switch is necessary for both Gamel and Salome where do they go? Gamel should be able to handle the OF but who gets bumped? Would Salome be able to learn either 2b or CF? If so, who gets bumped? Man, the Baby Brewers can sure hit but they cannot field worth a dang... Edit to add: Thanks for posting this Mass!!

    Hey all, Thanks for the suggestions. He was Nuk free last night for the first time ever and that was not a pleasant experience. We didn't give in and praised the heck out of him this morning (he even got to wear his Brewers gear to daycare...that NEVER happens!).     I'm playing on PS2 and in my first franchise year...and yes, the home run with the batter just staying in the box is the one that I'm referring to. I emailed SONY and will let y'all know what they say.

    Is anyone else getting sick of CONSTANT freezing on their game? Sheesh! It happens most when you hit a homer although if you are bad w/ money like I am it will happen at the banking screen as well. BUMMER!
