  1. Yeah, and with a hairless cat on their laps too. http://www.cbc.ca/gfx/topstory/ash0730.jpghttp://www.garnersclassics.com/pics/austin2/evil2.jpg
  2. I too am about ready to move along after the Corey Hart Experience. If some team still fancies him I would not hesitate to move him for pitching.
  3. If he changes his stance to something along the lines of Albert Pujols or David Wright would that ease your concerns? Luckily players ability to hit and field similar to other players arent related to height, weight and batting stance. I dont see anything in Lawrie that reminds me of Bill Hall. I believe Lawrie will be much better than Hall has been.
  4. I bet Jack Z believes in his ability to draft his own prospects in SEA. I believe there could be some trades between SEA and MIL, but Jack Z just isnt going to trade for his entire 2008 draft class.
  5. Hall goes to the opposite field to win the game, which means another month of him pulling everything and stinking.
  6. You know who else never walked anyone in AA and AAA? Ben Hendrickson. Manny needs to throw strikes on a more consistent basis. If he can do that, his stuff is way better than Hendrickson's ever was and I think he could be a good starter in the majors.
  7. Only 5%? Id say that is closer to 25%. Also, nobody (except maybe INSIDE EDITION) is saying this is a Brewers problem. Certainly that wasnt why I started the thread. Rather, I was saying that the way this story was pitched and reported on (if you can call this reporting) made Brewer fans look bad because of the repeated mentions of Milwaukee, Miller Park and the Brewers.
  8. Im souring on acquiring Peavy. Id be more for DeRosa and Cliff Lee at this point.
  9. re: The title of the thread. Of course this is inside edition (I didnt know the show was still produced) but I said it talks about ALL baseball fans, but the fact that MILWAUKEE, Miller Park and BREWER FANS were featured for about half the time does give Brewer fans a bad reputation. The jist of the story is "Drinking and Behavior is a Problem at Ball Games...just look at Milwaukee." That isnt the message I want broadcast to the nation, even if Inside Edition is the medium.
  10. It is about ALL baseball fans, but it really features Brewer fans being idiots and beating up Cubs fans. http://insideedition.com/news.aspx?storyId=2955 Deadspin also has it covered: http://deadspin.com/52659...-people-at-baseball-game
  11. Scouts seem to love this guy, but his bat and lack of power are so worrisome to me that I am skeptical of this value. If he can hit .290 at the major league level, even without power, and play the defense he is praised for, then I would be thrilled, but we shall see.
  12. pure genius.
  13. I completely agree. I think reported in much better shape than he finished last year, but that was 12 weeks ago, I think he is about back to how he looked last year.
  14. Mo Vaughn's last season was age 35, but he wasnt all that productive age 32. Cecil Fielder's last season was age 34, but he fell off a cliff at age 30-31 and his best years were 26-27. Prince is a better hitter than his dad, but he doesnt have more power or a better body - and he might have a worse body. The jury is still out on David Ortiz, obviously, but he was so-so last year and who knows if this year is a slump or the beginning of the end for him. He is age 33 this year. Even fat pitchers have had issues staying on the field after 32-33. Bartolo Colon and Sid Fernandez are two that come to mind, although David Wells is the exception. My Prediction for Fielder's career: He already is a poor first baseman. That will continue until he goes to an AL team, which he certainly will go to after his time with Milwaukee. He will likely get a 5-8 year deal on the FA Market taking him from age 28 to 33-36. He will be very good to great for ages 28-31. Age 32 and 33 he will be decent (25-30Hrs) and age 34-36 he will be below average and out of baseball by the end of his deal.
  15. If Fielder is still in the league at age 33 I will be surprised.
  16. I could beat Tyson a lot, but the trek of Soda Pop, Sandman and the other guy whose name escapes me, always gave me fits. Probably because I practiced against Tyson so much using that code.
  17. Fielder is definitely fatter than Coffey, but some of us wear it better than others. Prince is huge, no doubt about it, but he is huge all over, Coffey looks like a regular guy from the shoulders up and the waist down, but in between, yikes.
  18. Todd "the bro" coffey. Or just "Bro" would be appropriate.
  19. I saw a TV bit on this last night on the news and the guy interviewed about the water gun that is going to shoot water basically said that how much water they shoot out will depend on the type of day. At least that is what he hinted at. So if it is 40 degrees outside and 60 in the park you can expect a minimal amount of water falling on the crowd. However in Mid-July when it is 85 degrees out at 7:00 p.m. and there is a threat of T-storms, the roof is closed and Miller Park is a sauna, it seems like they would shoot a lot more water out, thereby cooling off the fans in that area. I think it is a brilliant idea. If you have a problem with the water there are a lot of other bleacher seats that wont be affected.
  20. I wonder what size cups he has. I have never seen a professional baseball player who needs more support up top than Coffey. http://supportyourlocalgunfighter.com/wp-content/uploads/manzier.jpg
  21. I did it when I was in high school/college. Now that I am an adult I dont. Of course, it wasnt much of a problem when I did it back in the mid and late 90s.
  22. Before someone posts that it will depend on what type of porch, let me post these pics to illustrate what I am looking for. http://yosthomesco.com/images/2story_front%20porch.JPG http://everse.org/littlechicago/images/front_porch1.jpg
  23. I have a modest home in Oshkosh, WI. Here is a pic. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v627/RyDogg66/HouseFrontPorch.jpg Whoops. hope that isnt too huge. Anyway, I want to pull out those ugly green shrubs and contract someone to build a front porch from the far left to just past the two windows to the right of the front door. I dont want to waste someone's time if I cannot afford this anytime soon. What would something like this cost?
