    Escobar is at least a year away in my opinion. If it were left up to me I would play JJ at SS for all of 2009 and then make a decision next off season.

    Id consider something like Parra, EITHER hardy or Hart and a top prospect Salome, or, if they take Hart, Escobar.

    My dream outfield has always been Carl Everett, Milton Bradley and Izzy Alcantera. Signing Milton would be a start. Where he goes and for how much might depend on if he is offered arbitration and if he is a type A, type B, free agent. I certainly would not want to lose a pick to find out if he is sane enough to stay on the field the entire season.

RHP Jeff D'Amico (2-4) has lost three of his last four games and is 2-1 lifetime against the Rockies, with both wins coming last season. RHP Allen Levrault allowed two runs and four hits in three innings Sunday. He has allowed five runs in his last five innings over two appearances.

    I dont think anyone hates Corey Hart. I like him a lot. Also, his plate discipline has always been poor, but was exceptionally poor since about the all star break. As far as taking 18 walks and adding 50 points of OBP, I dont see how you figured that calculation at all. His OBP month-to-month breakdown was as follows .355 .342 .292 .301 .310 .192 All were equal sample sizes. He needs some serious work on his OBP skills. IT seemed to me that pitchers found a huge weakness, his inability to lay off a slider off the outside corner, and exploited it. IF he can make the adjustment, he might be ok.

    That's my Bush. Love the guy and have been a big proponent of his since we acquired him. He had a rough start this season and I almost lost hope, but he has had a fantastic last 2/3 of a season.

    The offense needs to be majorly overhauled in the offseason. We need to send Hall, Weeks and Hart packing. They are a big problem with their inability to work counts and get on base. Weeks has a good eye but is an awful hitter. Hall is a great leader but his head is in the clouds. Hart is a good hitter but awful at working the count. That makes all three USELESS and we need to get rid of them. PRONTO!!

    Unless Matt Laporta turns out to be Jeff Bagwell, this was a great trade for Milwaukee. That doesnt mean it was a bad deal for Cleveland though.

    I agree completely Al. It feels like the team is playing with "house money" at this time, I know as a fan I feel much less tense even. Hopefully that feeling transfers to the players and they realize they now have nothing to lose.

    Adding Nelson says more Dale's confidence in Corey Hart than it does about Joe Dillon. Im glad he was added, he looked good in the limited at bats I saw.
