  1. So, Robert Gasser is going to make his debut on Saturday it looks like. That's effectively his spot in the AAA rotation.
  2. Anderson out of the lineup again against a pitcher he’s had success against. DFA of Anderson and call up of Black needs to be the move before the end of the week imo.
  3. Worth noting that due to the off-day on Thursday they can go Freddy, Miley, and Corbin this weekend against the Phillies.
  4. Maybe, but seems to me like CC has lost complete confidence in Anderson's ability to hit given Monasterio hasn't exactly been lighting things up at the plate. And I wouldn't blame him based on Anderson's at-bats since he came off the IL.
  5. Anderson isn't even playing at this point. I don't see why Black shouldn't get the call at once.
  6. While the Padres have played themselves out of the playoff race, culminating in a sweep at the hands of the Brewers and the failure of Hader to even take the mound in his return to AmFam, William Contreras, who hit a 450 ft blast yesterday and was probably the MVP of the weekend, has been the best or second best catcher in baseball this year per fWAR.... We may have missed the playoffs last year, but the Hader trade has become nothing short of a resounding success and a boon to the future of this franchise. All of this with top 10 LHP prospect Robert Gasser having yet to make his MLB debut...
  7. Yeah, I'm sure lots of teams are looking forward to facing Burnes, Woodruff, and Peralta in a short series followed by the best bullpen in the majors (by WPA). And then if the Brewers are scoring runs like they have been lately...
  8. 7 games technically on the Reds with the tiebreaker. They would have to finish one game ahead of us.
  9. After this week, the Brewers will have the Marlins as their toughest and only opponent above .500 until they face the Cubs in the last series of the season. Brewers' schedule is objectively easy and is only going to be getting easier moving forward.
  10. I don't disagree that this thing is going to end up pretty close, but the Cubs' remaining schedule is harder than the Brewers. .506 OPP W% vs. .485 W%. They've still got 3 vs. the Braves, 7 vs. Dbacks, 4 vs. Reds, 3 vs. Giants.
  11. What made it particularly bad was those proclamations were already being made not even a week after the deadline.
  12. Remember when everyone was complaining about the horrible deadline we had? To say that now, you'd have to squint your eyes really hard and only see Chafin.
  13. Man Wiemer's really struggling to make contact these days.
  14. Okay. Let's get those runs back and not have to use Payamps and Williams.
  15. Even more remarkable with the hitters he did it against. Not just the bottom of the order or even your average team's heart of the order.
  16. Masterful from Hoby. Not sure what to say about Uribe. He's going to be really good, but he's only a rookie.
  17. He pulled him at most one batter too late considering he has to face three batters.
  18. Come on, Rowdy. We need something here.
