  1. Gotta be a rough weekend for the Brewers' hitting development staff with Arcia back in town.
  2. Houser is a heart attack pitcher. Going against a heart attack lineup.
  3. Why would the Brewers have handed the DH job to Hiura in 2022 instead of signing McCutchen after his horrific 2020 and 2021 seasons?
  4. Wiemer still started...And it was still Turang's first game in the big leagues when they had Anderson and Urias to play 2B and 3B..Uribe pitched 2 innings in his first day up. A little further back, Brett Phillips started his first game up against the Giants in Milwaukee. Same with Arcia against the Padres in San Diego.
  5. Wiemer, Turang both started their first game. Uribe pitched two innings first game. Only reason Mitchell didn’t is because he got to the ballpark too late.
  6. 5 OFs right now and they haven't shown an inkling so far to get rid of Winker. You would figure that Winker would be gone for someone like Hiura or Rowdy as a DH type bat.
  7. I would say yes. Under Counsell, when someone has gotten called up, they almost always start the first day to get their feet wet as opposed to sitting on the bench. Question is does CC hit him at the top of the order to get Miller/Winker out of the cleanup spot.
  8. Would be nice if they at least promoted Black to AAA in place of Frelick.
  9. Question is does Wiemer go to RF due to his superior arm strength? I don't think they'll do it at this stage due to how elite Wiemer has been defensively but Frelick is no slouch in CF himself.
  10. Underwhelming numbers on the season obviously, but has gotten hot recently as the thumb injury has healed. Looking forward to seeing what he can do.
  11. I think Steamer's selling him way short. Specifically, with that OBP.
  12. If Freddy doesn't start finding the strike zone, this is going to be over sooner than later.
  13. As long as he's a Brewer, I'll hold out hope Winker can be something like the hitter he was up until last season.
  14. For as ugly as our offense is, Yeli and Contreras 1-2 is mighty fine.
  15. Not striking out more than a quarter of the time and putting up 15%+ BB rates. Also, FWIW, Tyler Black at AA: 155 wRC+. Keston Hiura at AA: 116 wRC+.
  16. I would say all 3 SPs are hittable considering Elder has an ERA of 10 this month and was massively overperforming his underlying stats.
  17. Been hitting the ball a lot better within the past few days. Wonder if the thumb is feeling better. That's a tough injury for a hitter.
  18. The audacity, man...Where's the civility police again??? The poster literally said that it was a little light and the Brewers would probably have to add a better piece than Small. But a top 100/50 prospect, a top 200 prospect/2022 first round pick, and two organizational top 30 prospects is a reasonable start. Padres would probably ask for Gasser back instead of Small, but it's a decent framework.
