  1. Best day ever for Brewers and Padres fans.
  2. If Peguero ends up on the postseason roster....
  3. MLB would never allow it.
  4. Padres fans are having a good time now.
  5. Would be nice if the Mets scored a run or two here to keep it close.
  6. If the Mets lose the 2nd game, it's whatever for me. The Dbacks are not some juggernaut and have spent the last week blowing an 8 run lead to us and then struggling with the mediocre Giants and a Padres team playing for nothing.
  7. Who do they think they are....The White Sox. Honestly, makes you more appreciative of Attanasio and his lack of meddling.
  8. I would think tonight seeing as we already know where all the games are going to be played, but if we don't hear by the end of tonight then they're obviously waiting for the doubleheader to be finished which agree would be stupid.
  9. Another positive byproduct of today is that we'll now almost certainly get one of the two later games. Kansas City-Baltimore is effectively a guarantee for the early game as the only game in the Eastern Time Zone and involving two small markets. Detroit-Houston is Central Time Zone like us and thus our main competition. However, working in our favor is the fact that Houston's opponent is Eastern Time Zone and a small market, while the DBacks are Pacific and the Mets are the biggest market. And it's unlikely MLB would force the Mets to play in the afternoon after playing two games the previous day.
  10. Major fines by MLB and probably loss of draft picks.
  11. Pure stupidity and we should be rooting for him to have to pitch tomorrow.
  12. Sale having to pitch in game 2 really does nothing for us because we can no longer face the Braves. The optimal scenario is a close Braves win in Game 1, where the Mets have to burn through one of Severino/Megill and some of their A relievers, followed by a non-blow out game 2 in which they burn more A relievers and whoever of Severino/Megill doesn't pitch Game 2. They would then be left with none of Severino, Megill, Manaea, and Quintana to pitch Game 1, unless they decide to go with Manaea on three days rest. And Severino and Megill would be taken out of the WC round entirely. An extra inning game in Game 1 would be icing on top of the cake.
  13. Yeah. Throwing 106 pitches today, seems pretty clear Rea is off the postseason roster.
  14. Intentionally walking Marte to get to Alvarez is interesting...
  15. Yeah. And I don't think we'll have to worry with the way Rea is pitching.
  16. Much better that inning from, Rea.
  17. Being heavily hinted that they wouldn't.
  18. Someone's ready for vacation....
  19. I mean it's quite unlikely to stay that way if he keeps giving up this quality of contact. Mets have a .506 xBA right now and everything except for two batted balls has been hard hit.
  20. Rea giving up a ton of hard contact.
  21. With the Padres taking an early lead over the DBacks, we're on track for Brewers-Mets and no games played tomorrow.
  22. Why would there be a "strict pitch count" on Colin Rea, Rock? He's here to eat this. No way he's pitching in the Wild Card round.
