  1. Leave it to Pittsburgh to mess with setting our postseason rotation.
  2. Yeah, Padres getting the late game is the one major certainty right now. Brewers-Dbacks probably ends up right where it did last year in the 3rd time slot. Also, depends what the matchups are in the AL. Astros would be the main competition for the 3rd time slot, but if it's the Tigers it's easy to see that being moved up to the afternoon.
  3. Overall, you have to feel pretty confident that at least someone is coming up from Nashville for tomorrow’s game with the conclusion of their season. Could be any of Hudson, Black, Patrick, or Misiorowski. Misiorowski being the least likely.
  4. If the Tigers can call up Jobe for the final week….Still have a 40 man spot open.
  5. They could sign someone in the Santander, Hernandez, O'Neil tier. Kim would also be a good signing for them if they wanted to move EDLC.
  6. Pitching could be incredible, though. They've already got Greene, Lodolo, Abbott, and Lowder in the majors, with Burns coming up behind them. EDLC is already a 5/6 WAR player. They'll get McClain back. Steer is another solid piece. Probably need Encarnacion-Strand and/or Marte to hit or grab some bats in FA, but I don't think they're that far off per se.
  7. Updated WC roster preference with a week to go: C: Contreras, Sanchez, Haase IF: Hoskins, Turang, Adames, Ortiz, Monasterio, Black OF: Chourio, Mitchell, Frelick, Perkins SP: Peralta, Myers, Montas RP: Williams, Megill, Payamps, Koenig, Ashby, Hudson, Hall, Ross, Milner, Rea/Mears So, I'm recalling Black and giving him a week's worth of ABs to see where he's at in light of his multi-homer weekend. I can't say I'd have less confidence in him than in Winker last year, for example, so he's on my roster. Collins despite his versatility hasn't shown enough at the plate to justify having him on the roster. Pitching side of things is pretty straightforward now that it's clear Mis and Yoho aren't coming up. Last roster spot imo is between Rea and Mears. Rea picked up that save against the Phillies, but otherwise he's been terrible lately serving up gopher balls at will, and his stuff is only going to play down in the postseason. Mears' stuff on the other hand could play up, so if he can get some game action this week I think he could take that last spot. I could also see Civale cracking the roster, but without a history of pitching out of the pen I think they'll save him for a possible start in the NLDS.
  8. Can never take 90 win seasons for granted (one more to go I know, but I'm calling it).
  9. I look forward to seeing you reemerge now that the Brewers won!
  10. Ughh. You'd really love Contreras right now against the lefty.
  11. Win or lose. The fight they showed after going down 8-0 is encouraging. But they have to translate that into the Pittsburgh series. Pittsburgh has nothing to play for so there's no excuse.
  12. Well, they will have their best hitters in Chourio and Contreras at least.
  13. On the bright side, I doubt Puk and especially Martinez are available for the Dbacks tonight out of the pen.
  14. MLB umpires are the absolute worst. So incredibly thin skinned and just plain not good at their jobs.
  15. Tyler Black having a nice night at the plate tonight. I'd recall him, and give him a week's worth of ABs to see where he's at given how bad Bauers has been.
  16. Yeah. No cakewalks in the NL this year.
  17. I think we're probably going to end up with the Mets.
  18. Honestly worth paying attention to as he would be a great trade candidate for the Brewers to replace Willy in the infield, though I wouldn't put him at SS.
  19. Jesus Willy that's the OFers ball!
  20. This is exactly what you want to see against a starter like Gallen who the Brewers would face in Game 1 right now. They've seen him well both games,
  21. Everyone should take their cues from the kid.
