  1. Feel like Murphy is overmanaging here.
  2. I can't hate this more, and Murphy deserves to be on the hook for this.
  3. I have zero problem if Murphy pulls Tobias here. He gets hit harder the third time through the order, and Lindor is already 2/2 against him.
  4. I'd be tempted to bring Devin or Megill in for the next two innings.
  5. Well, Quintana is back to owning us again.
  6. Looks like this version is the correct one. Sanchez catching and Turang up to 2nd.
  7. So there’s two versions of the lineup circulating right now, and I’d really like to know which one is the real deal….lol
  8. I mean they can ask for it but I don't think they're guaranteed to get it given Bichette's salary vs. his production this season. BTV, which is admittedly not perfect, has him with negative value. I think negative value is a bit low as it undersells his previous years' production, but this year is going to eat at a good chunk of his value which is limited to begin with as a one year rental. Also depends on the prospect. If the cost was Tyler Black, for example, I'd be fine giving that up.
  9. I think the best option to fill the Adames void in the infield is to explore a Bo Bichette trade with the Blue Jays. You gotta like his chances for a rebound heading into free agency and he'd serve as a nice bridge to Boeve/Wilken. Prospect cost won't be exorbitant given how much he's due to earn in arbitration.
  10. If we're going to win, I think it's going to be because of a veteran or two showing up after the youngsters have been carrying us the last couple days.
  11. Would also be nice to celebrate a postseason series victory at Am Fam for a change. We've had to watch quite a few teams celebrate here our expense over the years. Phillies in 08, Cardinals in 11, Dodgers in 18, Dbacks last year. Only once has Am Fam been home to a Brewers series clinch, and that's the Nyjer Morgan walkoff game. That being said, if experience has taught us anything as Brewers fans it's that the baseball gods are inherently cruel and aren't going to make it easy on us even if we win.
  12. Looks like tonight is going to be a sellout. Only special section tickets remaining.
  13. Going to need the vets to contribute tonight and pick up the young guys.
  14. All you had to do was get one and seize the momentum and put the pressure back on the Mets. Keep playing our game and you have to feel good about our chances. Just ask that no outs be given away by our pitchers at first base. Regardless of what happens tonight, it’s been an incredibly fun season and team to watch. They’ve already proven that they have more heart and grit than the Brewers teams of the past few seasons. And the future is bright. How could it not be when you have the second youngest position player group in baseball and a 20 year old phenom under contract for 9 more seasons and doing things that only prime Babe Ruth has done in the history of the game?
  15. Doing things that only prime Babe Ruth did at 20 years of age....
  16. Lol. If the Braves win, the game tomorrow is at 2 PM Padres better hold onto this three run lead.
  17. That does not mean it's not comparable to the current situation.... I could see the no fans thing mattering for a road team that loses its first game, but we're at home. Anyways, the point is that coming back to take a 3 game series after losing the first game likely isn't as improbable as the last few years have made it seem. It happens all the time during the regular season.
  18. 3 Game Wild Card Series actually started in 2020 during the COVID season. Slightly different format with no team getting a bye, but: A's lost first game, but won final 2 at home to beat the White Sox. Padres lost first game, but won final 2 at home to beat the Cards. I don't think it's anywhere near as insurmountable as the last few years have made it seem.
  19. Hader postseason meltdown.
  20. Astros with a single run the entire series so far. Looking like a Brewers playoff run.
  21. Mets lineup is out. Only one lefty and then Lindor who is a switch hitter. Montas against LHH: .374 wOBA . Montas against RHH: .272 wOBA. Think we get a nice performance from Montas tonight.
