  1. It's too bad that McCutchen's not a Brewer anymore because him and Contreras in the middle of the order against LHP would fix a lot of our issues.
  2. Gasser is higher upside than all the minor leaguers we've brought up and is straight dealing in AAA right now.
  3. I don't see why Rea needs to remain in the rotation. I'd give Gasser a chance.
  4. Payamps is awesome. Can we please figure out the last two relievers in our pen please?
  5. Love how you delay the game 30 minutes for rain that never comes and then it actually starts raining with like 15 minutes left in the game.
  6. Thank god. I know it's your debut Andrews but that was a complete and utter fail. Gotta go with Payamps or Peguero in the 9th. Enough with the 6 man rotation and Arnold you should be looking at the reliever market,
  7. We are really cursed with that last bullpen spot.
  8. Guess Abner Uribe will be making his debut tomorrow, too. Actually, they'll probably recall Megill.
  9. Where's 2018 and 2019? Anyways, I'm done with this conversation. If you think there's no difference between Arcia with the Brewers and Arcia with the Braves, then there's no point.
  10. I mean he's an all-star this year with a 1.8 fWAR and 112 wRC+. To say that isn't a success story, when he was literally one of, if not the worst, hitter(s) in baseball during his tenure with the Brewers pretty much flies in the face of reality.
  11. Atlanta R/G: 2021 (9), 2022 (3), 2023 (2) Milwaukee R/G: 2021 (15), 2022 (10), 2023 (26)
  12. This is fun! Unfortunately it also means we're getting shutout by Rich Hill tomorrow lol
  13. That's still significantly better than his two full seasons with the Brewers, when he was probably the worst hitter in baseball...And at the end of the day, it's about actual production. If you don't think the Braves' hitter development/coaching system is far superior to the Brewers, then I guess there's nothing else I can say.
  14. That's besides the point. It happened under their watch. And now he's left the Brewers and is back to being an above average hitter. I wouldn't say we don't have any free swingers on our team either....
  15. It's not just a hitting coach. It's the system you build, too. Atlanta is the best example. They consistently develop hitters and then get peak production out of the guys they bring in (see, Arcia, Orlando). It's the opposite with the Brewers. On pitching side we're in really good shape. But we're lagging behind with how we develop/coach hitting. And you're seeing that on the field.
  16. Well, McCutchen's approach totally changed with the Brewers, and he became a below average hitter for the first time in his career as a result. He left the Brewers and is once again an above average hitter driven by a patient approach. So, yes, I ascribe some blame to our coaching staff for letting that happen under their watch. We get the non-Brewers version of McCutchen, and we potentially make the playoffs given how close we were. He's not the first hitter they've messed up (see. Hiura, Keston) Our hitting system and coaching is a real problem.
  17. I don't think we'll be in a position where we can't use any of our big 5.
  18. Second day in a row the Pirates have blown their challenge early.
  19. Watching Andrew McCutchen this series is making me more and more mad at the Brewers' coaching staff...
