  1. Seriously where has this velocity come from for Flaherty? Completely sucks the whole year and then for this start,,,
  2. Freddy just doesn't want to become a true ace...
  3. Right now, I'm reminded of my hatred for the Cubs, Red Sox, Cardinals, and most of all, the Rockies...
  4. Hopefully Jack Flaherty can continue to be Jack Flaherty.
  5. Of course. You have to be better than that Freddy.
  6. I don't even know why you're citing his stats from this year. It's 21 at-bats. He'd hardly be the first guy to struggle after being traded midseason, but he'd also hardly be the first 36 year old to fall off a cliff.
  7. They've declined and are mediocre compared to what he did in 20-21. Combined with his age, it raises some concerns. Guys at that age fall off a cliff quickly, as we saw with Cain. I don't think you can draw any conclusions from his 23 total ABs this year...
  8. And Ruf is also more than 4 years older...That's a big thing. He was awesome against LHP in 2021, but the last year and a half he has been much more mediocre against LHP. Does that signal an ongoing decline? We'll see... He'll be helped by the fact that Voit has been as brutal as it gets against LHP to start the year..
  9. Right. But you never know for sure. Voit has definitely been worse than Ruf against LHP, but Ruf is also 36, going on 37 and was released by both the Giants and Mets who are worse than us...
  10. Voit was always likely to regress to the mean somewhat, though, even against LHP...It's that mean we're hoping he can be better than.
  11. If he can still be better than Voit, then we'll take it obviously. Very real chance he's washed though.
  12. If we ever wanted to bury the Cardinals, this would be the chance…We’ll only have two more series against them the rest of the season.
  13. OAA and arm strength increase, though...
  14. Can't believe someone actually said on the game thread last night that Turang will never be a ML hitter...
  15. Not a lot of speed on the basepaths right now...
  16. But he calls that one on Caratini. Same exact pitch...
  17. Yelich being good again changes things for this team.
