  1. With the way he’s been smoking the ball, you knew that was coming.
  2. Lol. Greinke strikes out pretty much no one these days and he’s mowing through the lineup
  3. That’s not exactly true. His average launch angle is where it was in 2018 when he won MVP. And he has a 120 wRC+ in his last 40 PAs..
  4. Fingers crossed. He has been having a significant amount of bad luck.
  5. Damn. Yelich 97th percentile in hard hit% right now. That's even better than his 2018/2019 seasons. And 90th percentile in OAA!
  6. Surprised they aren't making up a phantom injury given the decline in his velocity. Pen seems like it would be best as he could hopefully rebuild his velocity in shorter stints. But, yes, the current iteration of Lauer against the Cards was just asking for disaster.
  7. Colin Rea is starting tomorrow. Lauer out of the rotation.
  8. Let’s go win a series now. We remember what that is, right?
  9. I get it. But it's as good as it's been since 2019 right now so that's a reason to hope.
  10. He's striking the ball well. Just not getting the results once in play.
  11. I don't think we need three separate Keston Hiura threads...
  12. Negative WAR since rookie season...You can't get around that. "Jerked around" is simply BS. Brewers gave him EVERY opportunity in 2020, 2021, and then last year, he was inserted into the everyday lineup for a month despite an unsustainable 41% K rate and he predictably proceeded to OPS below .600.
  13. Turang has been really good this month. I would have put him in the order in place of Miller. Winker for Voit, who does nothing unlike Winker who at least makes contact and gets on base. Yelich Contreras Adames Tellez Anderson Winker Taylor Turang Wiemer
  14. I'm willing to wait another week or so, but the Voit experiment has just about run its course. I think we could find Keston enough PAs even with Winker.
  15. Jerked around? He's been worth a negative WAR since his rookie season...Keston has been the author of his own misfortunes. He also has the opportunity to be the author of his own redemption.
  16. Yeah, substitute Keston for Voit on the 26 man and the 40 man. Winker still has time. Voit does not. It couldn't hurt us.
  17. Boy, if Yelich could start getting results in line with his expected stats, we'd be closer to getting our money's worth than ever before...
  18. And my fears have been confirmed. Lineup set-up as if we're facing a lefty starter...
  19. Jacob Misiorowski, you're our only hope...
  20. I really hope CC doesn’t pull out the typical lefty lineup considering this guy is going to be an opener…
  21. If there's one thing Jesse Winker has zero issues with, it's putting the bat on the ball.... Also, Wiemer has produced the exact same bWAR as Renfroe. Renfroe is what he is at this point. FWIW, one of the guys we got for him has been a huge help out of the bullpen so far.
  22. 2022 and his start to this season have been huge outliers from a slugging perspective (though backed up by batted ball metrics). It's important to remember that he had two separate injuries last year and is coming off neck surgery this year, which can take time to recover power. He's also only 29, which is not generally an age where players fall off the face of the earth (though he could be an exception) Do I think this can go on forever? No. But his .355 OBP (2nd on the team) is still quite valuable for a team that has otherwise struggled to get on base. He doesn't have forever, but I don't think he's running out of time just yet (at least a month). He's had less than 30 games... Voit is the one whose time is running out. DFA Voit, call up Hiura, and rotate him at DH/1B/LF to see if he's truly turned the corner. If he has and Winker is still showing no power, then go ahead and DFA Winker and make him the regular DH.
  23. I'm interested in giving the guy one more chance. His quality of contact has always been elite and the slightest bit of improvement in contact % would make him worth rostering. But if he falters again with a 40% K rate, then, yeah he won't be missed much.
