Again, just got off the IL and was never stretched out. Max # of pitches since then was his last start at 71. And you want him going the 140 pitches or so it would have required for him to even think about finishing the no-hitter? Please.
Brewers also lead the league in blown late-inning leads since August...Don't get me wrong they don't deserve it because they didn't do enough, but they were still so close despite everything.
Here's one from Just Baseball. 6 Brewers in top 100. Chourio at 11, Frelick at 41, Turang at 58, Wiemer at 64, Ruiz at 92; and Gasser at 99.

That may be you. But I'm a fan who would always rather have his favorite team in the postseason. Quite a few games this season where we were essentially in control and let it slip away, including several this past weekend. That will likely prove to be the difference.
Yeah. Mitchell has the higher upside, but Frelick and Turang provide more insurance in terms of contact ability. Frelick's contact and K rates are absolutely insane.
I don't think so. He'll have another period where pitchers start to figure him out and he'll have to adjust. But he can certainly put up something in the .270-280 range with his speed. That would be such a boost to the offense whose top qualified hitter is currently batting .259.
Maybe. BUT, you're going to need proven production while the rookies take time to develop. Maybe they develop faster than expected and we can trade Renfroe for a reliever or something at the deadline. But getting rid of him now with our lack of upper-tier hitting options is incredibly risky at only a few extra million dollars in savings. Not worth it.
And what's the point of platooning Wiemer and Taylor when they both hit from the same-side...
The eagerness of some on here to rid ourselves of our only above .800 OPS hitter and veteran outfielder at a relatively low cost likewise perplexes me....
Right, "he's not significant"; except he's very significant. If we're going to be successful, he's going to have to be a key part of the equation. His contribution is that he's a high OBP hitter on a team that is otherwise severely lacking in that department. The key is the hitters behind him actually doing something other than striking out or hitting weak grounders. Keep it up, though!
Just baseball is an emerging platform within the baseball news industry. I highlighted it here because it was published recently and takes into account the entire minor league season. There are good sources for prospects other than BA. I would hope you're not stuck in the late 1980s/90s. Again, where did I tout Ethan Small as a sure thing? Cause I didn't.
We got two really promising prospects in return (Top 100 prospects, per some outlets). If even one of those guys develops into a contributor, then it will have been worth it value-wise. The loss of Hader didn't cost us a playoff spot. It was how the entire team responded after he was dealt that cost us the playoffs. Hader might have even further torpedoed our chances given how bad he was for an extended stretch.
