  1. That’s not what you said though. You said you hope the playoffs aren’t going to be a showcase for his idiotic managing decisions. I don’t think we have to worry about being out managed in the postseason. CC will make mistakes because nobody is perfect, but he is no idiot. He’s the best manager in baseball.
  2. You would think we would be past the point of people thinking CC is an idiotic manager by now. Alas, not….
  3. It is what it is. Devin being ready for the postseason is more important. Plus, the Cubs are still highly unlikely to make the postseason regardless of this outcome.
  4. Just like the regular season, right?
  5. Then you have a longer layoff before the postseason…CC has a plan and isn’t going to deviate from it just for that extra emotional element.
  6. Again, I’m almost certain that Devin is scheduled to pitch tomorrow and CC doesn’t want him pitching back to back before the playoffs. Sucks, but this is a spring training game for the Brewers.
  7. Probably because he’s going to use Devin tomorrow one last time and doesn’t want to pitch him back to back.
  8. Monasterio has been worse and adds little power. Now, Turang is a different story.
  9. He’s been good for the Brewers. Plus that pitch wasn’t even a strike. He adds a power component that’s just not there on this team.
  10. Well, if Boushley can get through Happ, Bellinger, and Suzuki without giving up the lead, he’ll have had one of the better relief debuts in Brewers history.
  11. Looks like they’re aiming for tomorrow.
  12. I don’t think Clayton Andrews against the middle of their order will turn out well.
  13. Well good thing this is potentially Kyle Hendricks’ last start for the Cubs. We’ll never hit that guy.
  14. So Teheran is definitely not making the postseason roster… https://x.com/brewers/status/1707855528821469548?s=46&t=6qHppUIKVZAHrSmvysdA1A
  15. The Brewers are not supposed to win this weekend to safeguard my preseason prediction of 90-72!
  16. Oh, you definitely heard it. Non-coincidentally, from the same people that said the Cubs (and the Reds and Cardinals before them) were going to overtake us and win the division. Or at the very least be making us soil our pants this weekend.
  17. Yep. Ridiculous. Another reason to root for the Marlins to make the postseason instead of the Cubs as Schumaker should siphon off votes from Lovullo and clear things up for CC.
  18. I'd imagine we'll see Devin tonight regardless of whether we get a lead in the 9th. He needs work, having only pitched once in the last 12 days. While he's among the league leaders in appearances, it would also be nice to get Hoby Milner one more inning before the postseason, too.
  19. He was appreciably better than Jason Alexander and Chi Chi were for us last year when our starting pitchers went down. A major difference in the opposite season outcomes. Heck of a job, indeed.
  20. I don't know. As much as I want to eliminate these losers, I won't be that bummed if we lose because I don't want any of our potential opponents to clinch before Saturday. Make them burn through their starters and relievers.
