    Can someone explain to me why Baseball Prospectus considers the Brewers to be slightly above mediocre in their formulas? I listened to their latest pod and Craig Goldstein just flat said there wasn't anything the Brewers could do to have him regard the Brewers over the Dodgers (and maybe the Mets). Then they referenced their in-house metrics and yea, the Brewers were mediocre. I can wrap my head around anything, but only to a point. When do you look at results vs metrics and start to question the formula?

    To be honest I'm just naturally skeptical of autograph seekers in general. Little kids trying to get a ball signed by a player they love? Sure, that's great. I have a niece who held up a sign for Frelick and he gave her a ball. But she knows him because she's watched hundreds of games with her dad and she thinks he's cute. What kid is gonna know who a couple 18 year olds on the T-Rats are? Made and Pena are certainly aware by now that the people looking for their autographs are doing it because it might be worth something someday.

    For all we know Made and Pena have merchandise deals, and since they don't speak English they don't want to even attempt to say no.

    Does anyone here know what's true? I have no reason to believe McCalvy is wrong, but Spotrac has him as a FA in 2027 and Fangraphs has him a FA in 2028.

    There's the new comparison when it comes time to lock up Made and Pena. If and when the Brewers decide to go that route, they'll almost certainly want to lock them up before they take MLB at bats. Price only goes up from there.

    They could get a head start on Adamczewski's inevitable move to the OF. There's nothing in Wisconsin in LF.

    Buddy, the Brewers traded for a guy who's been on an insane run at the plate. 1.157 OPS.

    The deadline talk is so dumb. Not only did the Brewers add a guy who's performed like peak Barry Bonds, but they did it three weeks early. Who gives a **** if it comes in July or September. Maybe he also has an awesome October moment. The dude was the #3 pick in the draft.

    Are we counting Vaughn? Because he's had a bigger impact than any of the additions 1-6 will have over the next two months.

    More people need to know Bull Durham math. Who the hell knows. Seigler or Ortiz could get hot for a week. *****, have you guys seen what Andrew Vaughn has just done? Getting upset over midseason moves or non-moves is silly IMO.

    They played Durbin at SS last week. I think that's insane, but I also thought he wouldn't be able to play third and he's been great.

    This strawman you've built is impressive. No one would have been upset over an upgrade. I think some are just more realistic over how much of an upgrade was out there.

    They added a really good arm. Given the workload the bullpen's had I'd say that was a pretty nice move. I don't know what people were expecting. I'm honestly a little baffled. All-Star talents weren't being moved. The Brewers didn't miss out on anyone.
