  1. Also demand is higher at the deadline. In the offseason a team can improve through FA. At the trade deadline it's only the deadline.
  2. Really the issue is the score was 1-0. If Brewers offense could score runs our starters would be going 6 innings a lot more. Patrick would have probably gone 6 innings today if we were up 3 or 4 to 0.
  3. Have to tip the cap to Sam Garcia for eating a big 5 innings while pitching on 4 days rest. Completely blew past his previous high in pitches as well. 97 pitches today to 82 was the prior high.
  4. Ernesto just hit an absolute bomb. 107 EV, 418ft blast off the batters eye in dead center field. Also looks like he started cramping as he got to home lol.
  5. Wow Made is having a heck of a game defensively today. @Spencer Michaelis Twitter thread is a must view today. He’s been a clipping machine.
  6. Cooper Pratt is having a rough game defensively today. Has cost the Shuckers potentially 4 outs in the 7th inning as the Smokies continue to cut into the lead.
  7. This is so tiring. They didn't keep anyone over Smith. They had an open 40 man spot even after drafting Connor Thomas in the Rule 5 draft. They just didn't keep Smith. There were spots.
  8. It's gone pretty under the radar with some of the more well regarded prospects in Biloxi doing well, but Luis Lara is quietly having a very strong season.
  9. Alexander is fine for now as a long reliever or mop up guy. Murphy using him today in a leverage spot when Ashby and Zastryzny are both available is just horrific.
  10. Pat Murphy sucks but moral of the story is the team sucks and a manager is only as good as the team in front of them
  11. Yeah it’s pretty clear if Hoskins is producing near where he has been to this point that he’s going to get more than just salary relief.
  12. Not that Cameron should have been expected to be good but it's tough to give him grief for doing nothing when he's basically been glued to the bench since getting called up. Cameron was on fire and called up on 4/26. In his first 10 days on the Brewers roster he had 7 PA. If you want to carry over a guys hot streak from AAA seems like you should give them some everyday reps when they first come up rather than use them sparingly.
  13. My goodness this is horrific from Murphy. You know your pen is ravaged so instead of committing to Ashby when you got him up you sat him down and made him unavailable for the rest of the game.
  14. Yeah that's just not true. If Hoskins still has a 130-140 wRC+ come the deadline the Brewers will get more than "clearing salary off the books" to trade him. Also referring back to your original post you implied nobody in the lineup has value but some pitchers do? Outside of Peralta and Contreras nobody on our roster (that we would ever consider trading) would net a big trade return. If Hoskins is still a 130-140 wRC+ guy he'd be our best reasonable trade asset outside of Peralta and Contreras.
  15. I wonder when the Brewers will make the call to move Wande to the ACL. I'm not sure what the benefit is for him to go out and seriously struggle pretty much every outing.
  16. I already miss Dinges in Carolina. Walther and Martinez are having a very difficult time behind home plate in this series.
  17. Not eligible until 5/26
  18. My oh my Bryan Hudson have I missed you.
  19. I really don't understand why in a game where you claim the priority was preserving your pen you have Zastryzny pitch the 5th inning when you know that there's a potential for a rain delay later in the game. If this game resumes after a longer rain delay then we will need our complete spent bullpen to get at least 7 outs.
  20. Anthony Seigler is already back in action unless the Nashville socials team messed up.
