Misiorowski, Quero, Black, Wilken is a fine Top 4 prospects, but really nothing super impressive especially because they are stagnant mostly. Misiorowski hasn't shown any improvement of his command. Quero is out for the year so he will be passed by players breaking out, and Black has moved further down the defensive spectrum since the start of the season as a now full time 1B. Wilken had a bunch of prospect helium coming into the season, but really hasn't continued that growth partially due to injury.
There was lots of hype coming into the season for guys like Lara, Yophery, Pratt, Bitonti to really breakout and find their way onto or near the fringes of the Top 100 list. So far none of them are flashing Top 100 prospect breakthrough. The system for bats just feels very stagnant this year outside of Boeve breaking out although he has started to cool off in the month of May with his OPS down to .738 after the double header today.
Development isn't linear so there is still time for players to take steps this year, but the early returns outside of Boeve are lackluster.
