And when Contreras isn't behind home plate they will want him DH'ing. Just not a ton of DH PA if Yelich and Contreras are going to be getting 2/3 to 3/4 of the PA there.
It probably will, but I think it's the right move if Yelich is going to be primarily playing at DH going forward. There's just not playing time there for Black if Yelich is DH'ing most days.
I'd love to see Russell Smith get promoted to AAA. He's Rule 5 eligible this offseason, so might as well see what he can do at the highest level of the minors.
If it was a slow runner at the plate who is a threat to GIDP then I would have fully been on board. With Turang I don't like it. You have Hoskins on deck who has mashed LHP in his career. I'd rather take the chance of Turang and Hoskins getting Chourio home than risk running into an out on the basepaths and Chourio while potentially being safe was beaten to the bag by the throw easily. It was a poor tag attempt that made it close.
Dillard on the postgame show straight up questioning using Koenig in the 7th when the A-pen was fresh. Feels pretty rare for them to question the manager's decision like that.
