    Ragans just very, very good. When he's on with his command he's very tough to hit.

    No. Suspensions for on-field incidents do not allow you to replace the player on the roster while the suspension is being served.

    They will very, very likely increase. The BB-rate in the International League is currently 11.6% compared to 9.1% in the Southern League. The ABS strike zone is much smaller and less forgiving than human zones.

    This is a guy who has played 144 and 154 games the last 2 seasons. I don't think it's an automatic bet that he's going back on the IL at some point this season.

    Through Peralta's start today this is how our SP has fared on the year. 105 ERA- (16th) 118 FIP- (29th) 110 xFIP- (26th) 4.35 SIERA (26th) 20.3% K-rate (25th) 9.4% BB-rate (25th) 1.35 WHIP (22nd) 88.8 Avg EV (12th) 9.3% barrel rate (27th) 37.4% hard hit rate (14th) Hopefully Hall finds the velo coming off the IL and can help out the rotation otherwise this feels like an issue that will plague the team all season.

    Assad has one of the lowest ERA's in the MLB since July last year. He doesn't have amazing stuff but he just continues to get great results.

    Not really. Freddy just sucked today and couldn't throw strikes. If he pitched well that strategy would have sucked.

    Think the Cubs should be pretty comfortable division favorites at this point. Seems like they will be getting Steele, Hendricks, Suzuki, and Bellinger back this week. Wesneski and Brown moving to the pen full time will really solidify their bullpen and their rotation is just so much better than ours. Lineups are probably closer to even, but the gap in SP seems so significant at the moment.

    How can you match an offer you weren’t given a chance to match? Counsell never gave the Brewers a chance to match.

    He made a catch in CF to end the 1st inning and that was the last thing he did before he was removed in the 2nd inning. I went back and watched and didn't see anything in the play, so no clue what it could be if it was an injury.

    Padres are a bizarrely ran org. Their offense has been good this year and their pitching has sucked, so what do they do? Go and spend prospect capital on a bat who you have to imagine will be a full time DH for them because I don't see where he's playing in that IF.
